Good For A Beginner

My son is a runner on his college track team, he has been running track and cross country since middle school. I asked him to evaluate these spikes. I ordered size 10.5, but I received size 11. The shoe fit a little large on him.His comments are:These spikes would be a good start for beginners. They come with everything that you would need to get started with becoming a sprinter (These spikes are not meant for distance runners). In the box there is the shoes with one set of spikes in them. A shoe bag. And a replacement set of spikes with a key. I am not a fan of the outside material that is of the shoe. It is way too slippery and I have noticed that if you turn your foot even the slightest to the inside, you will slip. They seem be decent quality. Overall these would be good for someone just starting out in high school with their first pair of spikes. However for the overall price, you may want to upgrade and get name brand spikes.

Extremely Nice Sprinting Shoes! Well Done!!

Excellent pair of shoes! Just got back from the track...here is what I found...- Shoes are very light weight. They are NOT carbon fiber...but you wouldn't know it by their weight. These are extremely light weight, almost the exact same as my older pair of sprinting shoes.- These have a nice firm running plate. The plate is firm yet flexible to allow the shoe to 'spring' forward when running. I would compare the feel and the propulsion you feel from it to the Nike Air Zoom Maxfly with the carbon fiber plate. It's the exact same feel when running.- The shoe feels nice and snug. No fitting issues. Watch your sizing on these or any running shoe and make sure you get the correct fit!! The shoes felt very stable while running. No slop or sliding of the foot when torque is applied.- The spikes that the shoes come with are very long! (I believe they called them "nails" haha..) I don't believe they effected my running too much...but I already switched them out for some shorter ones I had...probably saved a little weight too. (You'll have to provide your own shorter spikes if desired) But if you like longer spikes...Then these are for you. Some people like them longer. Personal preference.Overall, they fit great, provide excellent stability under load, are extremely light weight, feel like they have some kind of internal propulsion plate, and perform very well!! The spikes are a bit long, but can be easily switched out for shorter ones. Shoes come with a very nice travel bag, spike wrench, and extra spikes. Would highly recommend these to ANY sprinter!!! Excellent shoes for sure!!!!

Sleek, light & comfortable set of spikes

Sleek, light and comfortable:These spikes are definitely very well made, feeling very light but also very secure once you put them on. The pair was also very comfortable and didn't seem to need any breaking in.Not sure I'd call these waterproof:As far as shoes go, these may pass the "waterproof" test, as the outer shell is well made, clearly water repellent, and doesn't have any obvious holes in it. On the other hand, your socks could still very well get wet if it's raining, as water can get in through the tongue pretty easily. So if you're expecting a pair of muck boots in spike form, prepare to be disappointed, but these are about as reasonably waterproof as a set of spike could be.Overall, I'd definitely recommend this product.
