This is the third pair of low men's hiking shoes I have purchased from HI-TEC. I highly recommend them for durability, comfort and price. I have worn my first two pairs for hiking in the Canadian Rockies, Costa Rica and Arizonia and they are still in great shape. I bought this pair to use on 2-4 mile hiking trails in Illinois during the summer.
Crappy shoe laces. Need to be cotton. Shoe is well made and pretty comfortable. Perfect fit. On my second pair. The first pair were chewed up by my puppy. They held up very well before the chewing.
If you read other reviews you may see others reporting the shoe falls apart quickly. That has not been my experience, this is my 6th pair. The shoes last me about 4 - 5 months. I wear them daily to work where I walk on concrete, I kneel down and flex my toes and shoes continuously.I do put in a sole insert, which in all my shoes.the shoes are lightweight and comfortable
These shoes are incredibly comfortable and fit a bit larger than usual; I’ve always worn size 9, and they feel slightly loose, though it’s minimal. As a buyer, I'd recommend considering the large sole. For me, being 1.70 m tall, it's ideal, as it gives me a few extra centimeters in height.
It is light, nice colors, and fits well. Seems to have ok support. I've worn them for a couple of weeks. So far so good. 2 physical therapists like them. Oh, and they were dirt cheap. $29+ . Can't beat that with a stick. Well, you could, but why?
The shoes are comfortable, I use them daily for work and mild hikes. After eight months of use the shoes are still fully functional but start to fall apart, mostly in the front where the foot bends the fabric. In conclusion, you get what you paid for - comfy shoes but will not last more then a couple of seasons.
These shoes are good looking, inexpensive, light weight, fit as expected, and seem well made, but: THEY ARE JUST PLAIN UNCOMFORTABLE TO WALK IN! (I had to return them because they made my feet hurt) : (
