Maybe good for the beach or gentle walking on flat ground. Size down!
These are a middle of the road sneakers, made with some cheap construction. Definitely not worth it for the price in my opinion, but if they were on sale half off and you need something that runs big or wide, it might be a great option for you.The bottom soles are glued on and feel a little wiggly in some areas. The heel especially feels strange; like a really circular point of pressure that doesn’t quite encapsulate the whole ball of the foot. It almost feels like wearing highheels in that regard.I noticed on the bottom of the shoe there are some areas they didn’t even bother to finish painting it. While one doesn’t often look at the bottom of their shoes and this might be seen as nitpicking, for $70? I would expect to have something of premium quality. The inside for your foot contour has nothing to hold it down inside the thin fabric (which is really flexible/sheer), so it can shift when you walk. This is a plus and a negative, because you can swap them out easily for something better suited for your foot if you’d like, but the ones that they come with aren’t the most comfortable and they absolutely offer no posture support, like the claim in the advertisement. The size I received is about two sizes too large to be considered fitting an 8–8.5 size. I wear an 8 in Womens, 6 in Mens, and these fit like a 9–9.5 on me. I would not say these are “wide” shoes, either. If they were shorter, they would fit like thinner walled Converse Chucks. There is an inside tag that says “39”, which, if that refers to European sizing, means these would be closer considered to an 8.5–9 in size, so this is something to be mindful of.While the lack of lacing/trade-off for pullstring lock on these shoes means custom comfort and quick slide-on, it also means you have to get a bit creative where you tuck in the top lacing. I’ve opted to stringing it through the tongue, which look a little janky, but at least it keeps one from tripping over oneself lolThere isn’t all bad with this product, of course. The color is really cute and my favorite part about this shoe. I really love the electric purple! You don’t see that in a lot of footware these days. It’s much more vibrant in person than in the stock photos.I also appreciate that there is a large loop on the back of the shoe to help you pull it on over the back of your foot with absolute ease. These are very easy to slide on and off.I think these would be great for the beach, or a safe flat area you didn’t mind getting your feet a little bit wet/sweaty. These are really not optimal for hiking or any type of actual outdoor, especially with the lack of ankle support and that really thin fabric. You’d no doubt twist your ankle or harm your toes trying to walk through the woods/rocky terrain with something like these lol. There is also barely any tread to the bottom, which means no actual grip for the more slippery areas one might find outdoors.Get them for comfort, get them for their looks, but don’t get them for serious outdoor use.
