Strengths and critique of some good boots.
Excellent construction. I like these boots. The only thing I didn’t catch in the process is how wide these boots are along the ankle. I mean that there is no real inward curve from the heel to the ankle. I was hoping for something a little more form fitting above the foot. A couple of good things about them- the wide ankle area (that I don’t completely like) allows for my leather pants to fit inside very comfortably. Second, the ankle being so wide means that’s when your ankle bends, the shoe does not bend with the ankle too much. ThIs means they look new longer since there is less bending around the ankle of the boot. The soles of the shoes are immediately comfortable. I would prefer they be a little stiffer so I can break them in, but I am not going to wear them regularly. I am going to wear them to complement a leather outfit. I still have to ask if I would buy them again. My guess is that I would go with another design by this same company. Still, I know when I finally get to wear them out, I will be turning heads. Ultimately, no regrets. Solid construction, good look.
