Excellent versatile shoe
I am so pleased with these shoes that I've already ordered two more pairs, after just one week with my first pair.They are true to size, very comfortable and appear very well made. The tread works great on my very steep and rocky local hiking trail. Nothing very flashy about their appearance either, which I like.Note that elsewhere on Amazon there is a taller boot version of this Hiwalk. I also ordered one pair of these boots in my same size but they are MUCH smaller and I had to return them. If I order these boots again I will go one full size larger (11.5 instead of my normal 10.5). It's odd that very similar shoes from the same manufacturer have such a big difference in fit for the same size.

Solid hiker
This was a leap of faith that worked out! For years I've been a Merrell shoe fan, but cringed from sticker shock every time I bought new ones. That and I wanted something more water resistant (no shoe or book is "water proof"). This shoe checked all the boxes. Solid construction, comfortable, easy to break in, truly water resistant/water repellant, nice grippy tread - just an all-around great hiker.

Good shoe for the price
Well built shoe - so far (only had for 2 days). They are comfortable for what I bought them for; working out in the yard, in the garage, - basically a work shoe. Broken English tag on shoe mentions not to rub hard - just wipe with a clean cloth (I guess to preserve the waterproofing?). And it also mentions to treat shoes wither a good leather oil - I'm going to use mink oil since I already have some. Two things from being 5 stars is that first, the soles are stiff which means for me that they need some more cushioning inside the shoe - but they are still comfortable. The other thing is that I cannot comment or know about how they are going to hold up... they may fall apart next week;we'll shall see. From what I see however, they look well buit for the money and should hold up.Follow up: been wearing about 3 times a week and it is now 6/8/25... still holding up well!

Falling apart after 4 months!
I bought these for our trips to Europe as we do alot of walking. Ive had them for 4 months and wore them less than 10x. The sole on the toe has completely started to fall off. Don't waste your money! Garbage!
