Beautiful, well-made boots with a 15.5” top circumference
These are beautiful, well-made, and comfortable boots. The leather and suede were dyed in nearly perfect condition so the boots look and feel very well made. They came individually wrapped in disposable cotton bags (which they are laying on in the measurement photos). I normally wear size 6.5 or 7 (US women’s shoes), so I ordered the size 7. In the size 7, the boots have a 2” heel and about a 15” tall boot shaft. The top of the boot has a 15.5” circumference.They are advertised as “wide calf” boots, but I have seriously wide calves (mine are 17” circumference at the top of the boot shaft) so these boots will not zip up all the way —- even with nylons on. The sad part is that there is an elastic section at the top of the boot which should allow them to stretch a little, but there is a non-stretchable piece of leather lining the inside of the boot at that location. So there is no stretch at the top of the boot.They are lovely, well-made, and comfortable boots. I will probably still wear them with pants or longer dresses, but there is no way that I could zip them all the way up. Hope they fit you better because they are great boots!UPDATE —- I cut through the leather/plastic/fabric lining underneath the elastic portion and I was able to zip the boots all the way up!! (See photos.) This may start to fray eventually, but at least I can now wear the boots.

Comfortable
These boots are comfortable and stylish for the colder months. The color is true to the picture and when I zipped these on, they were not too tight at the calf, so I know I could tuck pants into them if I wanted. The sole is rubber. The inside has a little padding making them comfortable for walking, and I can see this going well with a brown skirt and tights or pants tucked in. Really cute! Craftsmanship is good, and the details make it look high end.

Well-made and comfortable to wear
These boots are well-made and substantial. Overall, they fit well in the feet and ankles, and are comfortable without needing to be broken in (at least for me). As someone who is blessed with larger calves, they don't zip up all the way for me (it's close), however that's normal for most boots I have tried on over the years. I normally resign myself to zipping up my boots as high as they will zip and kind of looking like a pirate, or not wearing boots at all. I haven't gotten a new pair of boots in years, so I forgot all about that. Nevertheless, this is not the fault of the company as they're probably going on standard boot measurements, but I do wish those standard boot measurements would widen just an inch or two for us larger-calved ladies. Note: I am between a size small and medium in pants.
