FABULOUS comfort! Better than barefoot.

This is my 2nd pair of Hoka shoes. The minute I put them on, I lliterally SIGH with delicious comfort. I think that's cuz this shoe is not only perfect for my wider foot, but nips in at the arch area just like my feet. You'll get plenty of cushy comfort in these shoes, but maybe NOT the best to run in. I'm just thinking the squishy, cushy feel is not enough hard support for keeping your ankles straight?I don't care! I'll run in my Salomons. I have stiff SuperFeet inserts in them. And I even put the same inserts in my Hokas, but they still feel softer and better for LONG walks (not hikes). LOVE 'EM!

I have swelling in my toes and the balls of my feet due to rheumatoid arthritus and have been unable to wear any of my normal shoes for the last year.The podiatrist suggested Hoka shoes along with Protalus insoles. This is the first time in a year I have been able to wear a pair of any shoes for longer than an hour.
