Very comfortable, love the fact they fit my slim calves and are tall. Will definitely purchase again!
I took a gamble and bought these without a review, and I was not disappointed. They have two sizes of calf options. Make sure you measure your calves. If you have a super fat calves these won’t fit but I’m 5’7” 180 lbs and they fit perfect. Best winter riding option! My instructor complimented them as well.
I wanted to leave a detailed review in case someone else was thinking of dropping so much money on a pair of boots.I liked the height, I am 5'5" for reference and I ordered the 40S/W which is equivalent to a 9US size. Some of the reviews said the calf area was too narrow, and I was worried as I am far from skinny. the top opening is 14in, but it gets wider to accommodate the thicker part of your calf, mine is about 14.5 and it zips up comfortably. The look, the leather, and the rubber soles are as amazing as advertised. The faux fur is nice and thin to keep the boot from being too bulky like snow boots but keep your feet toasty. What I did not like, is the feel of the boot, the best I can describe it if to flimsy rain boots with no support. Also, one boot was significantly bigger than the other, as if one had been used as a try one sample and the leather was already very stretched out. Whatever the reason is, this would have been reason enough to send them back, but I have a trip coming up and need the warmth. I will update on how they hold up in the snow.
I love the boots. However, the fitting is very strange. The calf area is too tight. Unable to zip up.
Love these boots! Great fit and so warm!!!
I just busted out these HORZE Aspen women’s tall boots (EU 41 Regular) for my cold-weather barn chores, and they’ve quickly become my favorite winter staple. The dark brown leather has a soft, supple feel straight out of the box, and the tall shaft keeps my calves snug and snug against wind and splashes. What surprised me most was the insulation: the removable fleece lining is surprisingly thick without feeling bulky, so my feet stay warm down into the 20s °F—even during early-morning feedings. The sole’s grippy rubber tread handles muddy stalls and icy paddocks without slipping, and the slight heel gives just enough elevation to keep stirrup rub at bay when I hop in the saddle.I also appreciate the adjustable lace-and-zip combo: it’s easy to dial in a perfect fit around my ankles and calves, then zip up in seconds. After a week of everyday wear—feeding, mucking, and quick hacks—the leather still looks pristine with only a few character marks, and the waterproofing held up through slushy walks back to the barn.If you’re hunting for a winter riding boot that blends insulation, waterproofing, and classic style, these HORZE Aspen tall boots are exactly what you need. Highly recommend!
These boots are really beautiful and seem to be well made. The lining adds warmth, and the sole gives stability. Unfortunately, the shaft is very narrow and there's no stretch. My young adult daughter, who does not have thick legs or big calves, couldn't zip them up. They'd be fine for someone with skinny legs, but won't work for most people.
