5-Stars & I Will Never Buy Anything Other Than HQ ISSUE!
I need to start by saying that I initially purchased a pair of NORTIV 8 Tactical Work Boots earlier in the year as I really needed some new boots and the price on the NORTIV was a lot less than on the HQ ISSUE boots. But I made a big mistake. I should have sprung for the additional few bucks and bought these HQ ISSUE Tactical Boots instead. The HQ boots are so, so much better. It's definitely hard to see the difference when looking at the pictures and description but they are very different.The HQ ISSUE boots are much more stout and rigid, not in an uncomfortable way but in a support way. Starting with the, not sure the actual name, but call it the neck, that supports your ankle and lower leg. The material and padding is much thicker and heavier and that makes it much easier to slide into than the NORTIV. These HQ ISSUE boots will stand up to allow you to slip into the boot.The NORTIV on the other hand, has no padding in the neck and the material will just lay over, making it much harder to try to get into them. Plus when you've laced them up, the support for the HQ ISSUE boot is very comfortable and holds your ankle/leg much firmer. I need to disclose here that I have Plantar Fasciitis, so I did need to get separate insoles to put into the boots. But, the sole and arch support are there and the padding for the sole of your foot is thicker and softer than the other boots, right out of the box.These boots are 100% waterproof making them perfect for all-weather. They also have a SIDE ZIPPER that when I got my first pair, thought it took away from the look and wasn't really necessary. Now, after using them, I won't buy any tactical boot without one. The zipper is perfect for easy on/off as that zipper lets you open the neck up wide so you can easily slip into the boot. The tongue & top of the neck are padded and adds some nice, extra cushion.The tops of the boot are made from a flexible suede & nylon material that gives really good stability as well as being flexibile so they're very easy to wear, even all day long. The rubber soles give good traction and I like the design but are what they call, "anti-slip" work boots. True enough, except if you're indoors and happen to hit a wet tile floor. Just a heads up!Overall, I can't think of a thing I can complain about, and I don't know why these aren't ranked higer on Amazon? These are my 4th pair and will buy a 5th when the time comes. Don't be fooled by lower prices like I was. This boot could be sold for more than they're charging, given the quality, the cushion in the right place and stiffness where it's needed. They're as comfortable as any shoe including my New Balance sneakers so you can wear them all day without fatigue. These are truly a bargain at this price point and honestly, I'll never buy a different boot. I highly recommend these HQ ISSUE Tactical Boots - you won't be disappointed!I really hope that I've answered any question you may have had.

My favorite boots
I ordered the Tan ones by accident (oops) but I love them anyway. First boot I have ever owned that:A) Fit and felt good. I like to wear these, they don't make my feet hurt and they fit really well.B) Are WATERPROOF as advertised. Walked through creeks and puddles in these. Stood in a creek while helping build a bridge. didn't get my feet wet.C) Zippers on boots are the best thing ever. The boot even has a little velcro bit that let's you keep it kinda secure and protected. The other side of the zipper is a waterproof bit that folds up nice and isn't uncomfortable.D) Laces that are dexent quality. Lots of boots I have owned had laces that frayed and wore after a bit. These haven't so far and the boot feels pretty new.My only complaint was that they smelled weird when I got them, that I ordered tan (I wanted black...) and that they took a bit longer than I'd have liked to break in. Fantastic boots. Oh! And they're pretty good in the cold!

Great boot, fantastic service
I purchased my first pair, a half size larger, a little over a year ago. They fit a bit large, I ordered a half size larger per the review suggestions. That was unneeded.For the year I've had them, I've done everything from hundreds of days of work, backpacking, airsoft events, and just general daily wear some days. I estimate between 1200 and 1500 miles of walking, backpacking, and sprints.Very comfortable. Waterproof, although not terribly breathable. The past month or so I've experienced a buildup of mildew in the boots, from months of sweat and never really drying out. That's my bad. I think with good drying and a change to wool socks with a liner itll be much better.All around, one of the best boots I've ever owned. And at a fantastic price.I've ordered a second pair a half size smaller. My package vanished after delivery, but the retailer is fantastic on working with me. I think theyll be my boots for as long as this seller Carrie's them.

Good quality boot at twice the price!
Pleasantly surprised at first look. Fit very well. Size guide is accurate. Toe box is perfect for slightly wider feet. Removable Insole has some added arch support in the right place for me. Looking forward to wearing them on a motorcycle trip to Alaska!

Nice looking, great fit, but weak material in the Achilles tendon area
These Boots are quite comfortable and nice looking, unfortunately the seams on the back started tearing pretty shortly after I got them and used them daily for work. I had to take them to a shoe repair place to get it fixed, and it held up for a while but now the seams are tearing in a different place but still in the back.
