They practice in socks and she has slipped a few times so I thought these would help.• Quality: These shoes are well made with a grippy leather patch on the sole. My daughter is a size 7 or 7.5 usually, so I ordered the Medium. She says they are very tight, not the toe but the elastic straps. So, I would recommend ordering a size up. It's been a few weeks of practice, and they have not really stretch out much.• Usability: The two elastic bands that go around the top and back of the foot are interesting and took a bit to figure out, but otherwise they are easy to use and put on.• Performance: Item met our expectations and work as intended.• Durability: it's been two weeks of M-F practices, and the shoes look as they did when we received them.Overall, I would say the shoes are a great value for the price.

If you have a dancer in your life, you know how many shoes they go through, especially when they are in their growing years. These are a great price for a good shoe. My daughter says they are comfortable, they stay on her feet well, the elastic is good and I'm sure she'll outgrow them before they need to be replaced lol. Half soles can be a little tricky to buy, especially online. These are absolutely perfect! My dancer prefers canvas to leather so when I saw these, I had to try them out. The canvas is not rigid which is helpful if you have a wide footed dancer. We’ve bought canvas in the past that was dreadfully uncomfortable but these are the most comfortable ones we have found! (Literally ordered another pair already!) They are TTS, no seams digging anywhere and easy to put on & take off. These are a huge win for us & our dancers, dance moms!

Great half soles with some caveats

My wife is a professional dancer and goes through half soles pretty quickly. I'm buying her new pairs twice a year or so. She had a few comments immediately upon strapping these on:1. The padding under the ball of the foot is really good.2. They have just the right grip for turns.3. The fabric is a bit thin and will wear out quickly in the toe tips.4. It would be nice to have other colors, since my wife is Black.She's decided that these will be for light use on smoother surfaces. Definitely a good quality for the price, true to size, and comfortable! She's a 8.5-9 and the large fit perfectly.
