Runs small, excellent substitute for a cork slide
I usually wear an 11, but my feet are wide and Flintstone shaped. 11s are a little longer than I need, but wide enough. This 11 (43) *just* fits my foot length. It's snug but not uncomfortably so. I'm use to my shoes being a bit roomy in length, but this one isn't roomy in length at all.I was worried about the "43" because that's not an 11, but this one is. It fits closer to a 10 than a 10.5, with the width of an 11. So, let's say a 10w. If i can find wide shoes, I usually end up with a 10.5 wide, or a roomier 10w. 11s fit a little long, but not too much. I size up to 11s for width and shoe box because of my Flintstone shaped feet, but my length is officially a 10.25, and these are still pretty snug in length. But the soft upper and the less-rigid-than-cork sole allow this length to be entirely comfortable.I got these as house shoes to replace cork soled slides. These are nice! They feel good on my foot and although plenty firm like a cork shoe, it doesn't hurt to step on the ridge that cradles the heel! That's the reason I wanted to try these, those cork soles are brutal to accidentally step on!The arch support is good, not lacking, but not rigid like cork. I'm heavy yet this feels plenty firm. It's a very comfortable shoe, more like a comfortable sneaker than I expected, and I like it. I usually get cork shoes, this is an excellent substitution.The overall quality exceeds my expectations, and they are attractive. The fur is questionably functional, but quite soft and seems nice. I don't usually get furry house slides, I wear socks when it's cold, so this isn't an important part of the shoe for me. I don't know how long the fur will stay this soft. These will be my general house shoes, not just before and after bed "slippers", so I expect to use them more universally around the house and I won't know how the fur stands the test of time until later, obvs. I'm open to being wrong, but the soft fluffiness doesn't seem robust or meant for an all around house shoe, it seems more suited to a gently used bedtime slipper type shoe.I didn't expect them to be as nice as they are, not that my expectations were low, but cheap slides are sometimes a disappointment- and these are absolutely not a disappointment!I would definitely buy again.
