Bought the 6mm uninsulated boots first and once I received them, really like the fit and quality so, bought the 800g insulated boots right afterwards. Have used both pairs this season during deer season and, have been pleased with them. As I get older, I love being able to just slip the boots on and off as compared to having to tie and untie other hunting boots I have.
My son wore these hunting for a week and loved them. There was rain, snow, and temps that got to -18 degrees F at the coldest and they kept his feet dry and warm the whole time. I would highly recommend!
As usual, these boots represent quality, but are too heavy for long treks. They are suited very well for deer and turkey hunting where you sit and wait on the game. For this, you need maximum insulation. These boots have just that- 800 grams insulation and a 6mm neoprene glove keeps the cold out and warm in. These shoes are good for hunting in the lowlands and upland game birds, but the sole just does not have the tread to hold in the steeper mountains plus the xtra weight you are dragging around. They just are not suited for this type of hunting. A strap tightens the back gusset while a tab allows easy removal... just kick them off. Easily slipped on and off, my pair fit quite well with no chemical smell. A nice set of boots, but with limitations.
very warm and comfy!
These boots are awesome! The material quality is excellent, and they seem to be quite durable. They also look great, and the printing on the camo is nice and crisp and clear. The fitment is perfect, I have fairly wide feet and was worried they wouldn't fit well, being that they were not available in a wide size, but thankfully they fit comfortably and have a little extra room in the width, and even with extra thick socks on, I have no trouble wearing them.I also really like the kick-off lug (not sure what it's actually called), which allows you to use your feet to push them off if they're dirty so you don't get mud or whatever on your hands.Overall these are some really wellade and thoughtfully designed boots, I absolutely would buy them again, and I'd say for the quality you get they're a really good deal!As always if I encounter any issues or think of anything else to add I'll update this review!
I didn’t find them comfortable. Heavy , I’d say hard to walk in
