Harder than expected

Overall I like the boots. They fit well, go well up my calf, and provide solid protection with great traction. The only negative is hardness. The insides do have minimal cushion, but when walking down steep hills, my toes jam into the leather and it hurts. I found my toes were sore after a bit of hill walking. I added foam insulation to the toe box and that helped a lot. These are heavy at 2.5lbs each foot but they feel solid and strong. I anticipate more than a season of use from these. They have stitching and don't merely rely on glue. In warm weather my feet do feel hot, but in cold, not freezing, weather, they the insulation keeps my feet comfortable.

Very warm.

This is the first pair of insulated boots I've bought for work. I've never been more surprised by the difference to my feet. Very comfortable right out of the box. Try a pair bet you won't be disappointed.

Well made boot similar to Rocky but less $$$

The boots were well packaged and arrived on time. The boots fit as expected, seems a little roomy, but a nice pair of heavy wool socks will fix that. The Huntrite boots seem to be well constructed and going to use them for hunting. I have not tested the waterproofing but I always add some of my own before the hunting season. My only dislike is a little noisy when walking but could be because they're new. Overall satisfied with the Huntite boot.

Make sure to go 1/2 size bigger

My husband loves them! It sucks that I had to wait a whole year just to get a 1/2 size bigger though 😕

Not sure the quality is the best...

So I used these boots for my second hunting outing this season, I assume that they held up fairly well, weren't uncomfortable, a little heavy, but the soul is pretty thick which dampened a bunch of the rocks I was stepping over so that was good. But when I got home to look at them, I saw a big crack where the back of the boot, the heel and the sole were coming apart. I was pretty shocked, it was my first time hiking in these. Pretty disappointed. Thought they would last a while. The cheaper pair I got from Big 5 How about 50 mi on them and have not separated yet. I bought these to replace those because I thought these would be even better at about almost 1/3 the cost more.If I would have known these would have fell apart quicker or had the opportunity to wear them sooner after I bought them, I would have requested a refund.
