Update re: Not all of them are Nappa leather as stated in the description!
My original review follows this revision.After having worn the shoes that were not Nappa leather a couple of times, I found that they very quickly softened up and were as comfortable as the Nappa ones. I've walked many miles in these shoes and they are perfect for sightseeing in Europe, or wandering around the local farmer's market. Because of this, I am upgrading my previous review to a 5 star, since I cannot think of any similar slip-on shoes that are more comfortable than these. Just FYI, my feet are narrow, but wider at the toes and these shoes do not cramp my toes like many other styles do. If you have a similar foot, buy them and enjoy!Original review:I purchased a pair of these in Nappa leather at a store earlier this year and they were wonderfully soft...almost like soft slippers and I love wearing them, especially when traveling and any other time I need to do a lot of walking. I LOVE Amazon.com and am happy with 99.9 percent of the things that I order. Going on my great experience with Amazon, I ordered a pair of these shoes just before leaving on a month long trip. I did this because I was concerned that they would run out of them before I returned. After returning home, I expected them to be just like the others. I was surprised to find that they were the same loafer, but not made of the soft Nappa leather. Instead, they were a stiffer, less comfortable, leather. Unfortunately, I was away longer than a month, so I could not return them. The fact that I was out of town, exceeding the return time was my own fault, so I did not pursue it with Amazon, even though they were not made of the leather stated in the description.This is important for those wishing to get wonderfully soft shoes. They may end up with significantly stiffer, but still relatively flexible, ones. I plan to wear the stiffer ones with socks when I am not going to do a lot of walking and not when I need extra soft Nappa leather ones.I am hoping that Hush Puppies will make these again in the soft Nappa leather because they are my favorite walking loafer/slip-on shoe. I gave 4 stars because they are still a good shoe; however, I would place the Nappa ones at 5 stars and the stiffer ones at a 3...hence, the rating.

update - Still in love - these (blk/ brown) are my everyday "go to" shoes. I find them so comfortable that I just purchased 2 more pair before they become no longer available. In my opinion, for as much as I have worn them - they have lasted a long time and still have plenty life left in them. The leather still looks good and the soles are just now starting to wear down. They can be worn for dress & causal.I found this shoe to be very comfortable and great fit. I purchased a brown pair and liked them so much because they are very comfortable I purchased a black pair too. Leather is nice & soft w/o losing shape.

The shoe, due to other reviews, was soft, comfortable, and fit as expected. Other reviewers were thrilled with how very soft the leather is, but I walk and climb stairs a good part of my day, so I would have liked a little more stiffness to the sides to better hold my foot in place as I climb and walk. Overall, very nice, professional shoe.

Perfectly comfortable immediately!
These fairly casual shoes are appropriate for me to wear with slacks and perhaps very casual dresses. The first time I put them on they were so comfortable that I wore them to work, and they were just fine all day. No breaking in required at all. They feel light and soft, not stiff and heavy, yet seemed to offer considerable support. The fit is largish. I'm not sure whether it would work for people with high insteps. The quality seems adequate.

Inside lining peeled off
The first time I wore them the edge of the black lining peeled off and also stained and ruined my stocking.I was extremely disappointed in these shoes that I will not be able to wear.Too late to return now, too bad I didn’t try them when they first arrived. I have always been satisfied with Hush Puppy shoes in the past.

Great shoe
Bought this shoe to work in and I have to say its a good looking shoe that goes with just about everything in my wardrobe. It is a bit more stylish than the ad picture shows so don't hesitate to purchase thinking that its plain. It looks great on the foot and is very comfortable. I will say it was a bit snug but I have chunky feet but with trouser socks I wore them first day all day (on my feet) and no discomfort which is a bonus! This is my first pair of Hush Puppies and I can tell you it was a great investment in a stylish, comfortable shoe.

Order Down
After reading product reviews about the shoe being narrow, I ordered a 10W, since I normally wear a 10. It was much too big so I have now returned for a 9.5 wide. Don't want to spend too much time with back and forth but I can tell if I nail the right size, it will be a great walking/dress show for work. Pretty and comfortable (I think).Update: I ordered a 9.5 wide and it was too wide at the heel. Also, the front area did not feel as soft, so I am giving up.
