Great shoe for hiking in the woods or around town. Perfect for light snow, ice and rain. The “bug” tightening feature makes easy to get on and off, but still have the shoe fit securely. I have 2 pair in the purple. I gave this blue pair as a gift. The recipient loves them: the fit and color. She has a wide foot and the size 8 fits her fine. Shoes are warm with good traction on ice.
Great shoes, every part of them has been holding up to my daily use from just going out, running around in them, and working construction while wearing them.My only complaint now is my right foots string snapped, and I don't see a way to take apart the BOA lace system to replace the strings.
This should was nice and secure, and I like the tightening mechanism, but it could use more support inside. Great otherwise though.
Great shoes! Love the material and adjustable lacing. I ordered the recommended size and the shoes were way too small/too short. Returned and exchanged for next size up.
This brand is so cool! All of my family loves it. By experience need to buy in a half size bigger. Other things just great.

I particularly like the unique lacing system, this is not something I've seen before. I chose the "Grape" color and they are really beautiful and feminine! The nubuck leather gives them a velvety feel.These Ava shoes are right up my alley in every way except for the fit. I consistently wear a size 8 US or 39 EU in women's. I ordered these in the "8 Women / 6.5 Men" size. Oddly, these are quite wide but I can get a good fit using the clever lacing system. But, these are way too short in length for me to comfortably wear. I suspect that if I were to size up they’d fit in the length but be way too wide in the width. I'm super bummed!These are lovely shoes. Unfortunately, their sizing is off and I'm unable to enjoy them.
