Worth the price
I was in search of a sturdy, waterproof shoe for an upcoming trip to Costa Rica. I have a pair of wool Icebugs that I love, but they’re not sturdy enough and they aren’t waterproof. These caught my eye because they have “boa” fasteners. All of my bike shoes have boas, and I’m a big fan because they allow me to do micro adjustments (increasing the comfort of a shoe) quickly and easily. I don’t rate a shoe based on insoles because I’m almost never impressed. I removed the insoles, replacing them with Superfeet insoles, making this an extremely comfortable shoe that feels sturdy without being rigid. Some reviewers suggested they weren’t true to size, but I didn’t find that to be true at all. I’m always a size 7, and the 7 fits me perfectly.

Icebug winter winner
These are just great for traction, fit, style, and comfort for me. These are my third pair from the Icebug company. These seem well made and exactly what I wanted. I ordered a size larger than previous Metro Icebugs (which I also love). There is room for orthodics here too. These have a nice large toebox especially good with thick winter socks, but the rest of my foot, including the heel, is narrow, and they fit perfectly. Both styles of Icebug (Metro and this one) are exactly right for me. It took me a couple wearing times in the house to break these in a little until they reached maximum comfort. I've never previously had shoes with the adjustable crank, but now I think it's great. These shoes are flexible enough that I can just pull them on too. Highly recommended for most wintery days (average snow and ice, in and out of the car, suburban dog-walking, and multiple surfaces. For just ice, the tiny Icebug spikes of the Metro are probably best. This winter in New England I'll be wearing my Icebug family of shoes a lot!

Weird laces
They were too tight though I followed measuring directions. Very stiff around ankle. Strange button on side to loosen and tighten laces. Felt like it could break easily. Wanted them for the soles which seem fantastic.

These are the first shoes I have found that actually comfortably fit my feet without any sliding! I have not completed longer than a 4 mile hike in them so far. However, I did not have to break these shoes in or worry about my foot sliding forward when walking downhill (no toe pain!)

Great footage and traction
This product is especially easy to wear and adjust for different walking conditions as you go about your day. Having just had shoulder surgery it was a godsend to not have to "tie" shoelaces. You just dial and release. So clever and easy to tighten when hiking in hilly areas and loosen for around the house. Best traction possible.

Lovely shoes but fit it is off.
This pair of Haze Women's RB9X GTX shoes is my introduction to the Icebug brand. I particularly like the unique lacing system, this is not something I've seen before. I chose the "Black/Maple" color and they are really beautiful in a very Scandinavian minimalist way. The neutral black looks great with the contrasted brown sole and detailing.These Haze shoes are right up my alley in every way except for the fit. I consistently wear a size 8 US or 39 EU in women's. I ordered these in the size "8". Oddly, these are quite wide but I can get a good fit using the clever lacing system. But, these are way too short in length for me to comfortably wear. I suspect that if I were to size up they’d fit in the length but be way too wide in the width. I'm super bummed!These are lovely shoes. Unfortunately, their sizing is off and I'm unable to enjoy them.
