Size fits really good, comfortable fit.
First, these are pretty shoes and I think they are the only shoes I've ever owned that were made in Sweden. The Swedes appear to know what they are doing. The shoes are very comfortable, incredibly lightweight and they seam to have as much or more cushion in the sole as any Nike or Adidas running shoe I've ever owned...super soft. The tread is designed to provide "superior traction on dry and wet surfaces", but haven't been able to put that feature to the test yet. In any case, I'm ready the next time I go spelunking....perhaps somewhere in Sweden. The Icebug brand seems to be very much into being environmentally friendly with a 200% offset carbon footprint (no pun intended), which is a bonus. (See the photos of the tags I found on the shoes for more details.)They don't say if the shoes are machine washable, but nothing about the way the materials look makes me think otherwise. Being machine washable is a must for me for a variety of important reasons and extends the life of the shoe, at least in terms of how presentable they are again after heavy use.I usually wear an 11, but ordered the 11.5 to play it safe and they fit very comfortably, so they may run a tiny bit on the smaller side.
I expected these shoes to be much more comfortable than they are. First of all, they are bit too tight for my feet. Secondly, they aren't easy to slip on or off. Once they are on, they are nice and comfortable. Light weight. Has enough traction for when you are on the side walk walking. But not enough to wear it to work, specially in restaurant setting. Does not have the slip resistant sole.
These shoes are extremely good for walking and running. They are comparable to Altra's Torrin series shoes if not as wide through the feet. Still, they are extremely comfortable and good quality, there is no doubting that. In fact, I'd wager that some will find these even more comfortable than Altras but preferences will differ of course.
-I am 6ft, 170lbs, wear a US size 11 mens.-I found the shoe to be true to size but just slightly snug. I would recommend ordering half a size up for running but for walking it’s fine.-I’ve run 5 marathons but don’t run long distance anymore. Now, I run about 3 miles a few times a week. I found these shoes to be comfortable, with a thick and cushioning sole.-The laces hold the knot and don’t come loose.-Overall, I would get this brand again and feel it compares to other well known running shoe brands.
These shoes are very nice and lightweight. They fit absolutely amazing and look awesome… I don’t know about the price point seems a bit high but all in all it is a nice shoe.
