Really grips on snow and ice !!!!!
I purchased these after falling on ice on an early morning December run in Minnesota. I have tried various methods in the past for shoe grip and still have trail shoes with screws placed in the sole. I bought the Ice Bugs after researching options on line and after 25 years of outside running had never ran across this shoe. I have run outside now with the ice bugs 3 times. I use them when the trails and roads are snow and or ice covered enough so that I do not prematurely wear out the carbide tips. Other days I use my homemade screw in sole trail shoes. The ice bugs are unbelievable how well they grip. I am 68 and am a slip and fall away from maybe the end of my running days. I feel completely safe with these on and wish I had found them years ago. I like the toe width which is perfect for my wide feet. They are the size I expected-10.5 US. I like the system used for tightening and loosening the laces since you want to take these shoes off or be able to get them off easily before walking into your home-its really cool! Who knows how long the carbide tips will last but I will likely use these on an average winter maybe 20 times when roads are snow and ice covered. I would guess these should be good for several years. I read carbide tips can be replaced by contacting the company. Just a great shoe for winter running!

Work well
These shoes are a little expensive but appear to be well worth it. I had a stroke in May and these shoes have allowed me to get out in the wintertime snow and feel comfortable and confident in being able to walk. Definitely would recommend buying these shoes.

A whole size too small, buyer beware!!!
Ordered around Christmas, I am size 9.5 so I ordered a 10US and just put them on, they are super tight, Amazon was nice enough to return so no bad review great shoe, rugged and anti slip.

Better fit for a wider foot
This is my second pair of Ice Bugs and I’m much happier with the fit. My previous pair fit well in length, but was a bit snug around mid foot. Not uncomfortable enough to not wear for short runs, but it was noticeable. This pair is much roomier in the toe box and mid foot without creating any slippage when running. I’ve ran in them twice now in a mix of snow, slush, and puddles. GORE-TEX kept my foot dry, and when paired with some gaiters, no splashes made it over the top to soak my socks. The BOA lacing system is also very easy to use and provides an easily adjustable, snug fit. I’m very happy with these shoes.
