Beautiful, comfortable and lightweight.
Love these.
The "Icebug Women's Aura RB9X Road Running Shoe with Traction Sole" was ordered for my wife, who is the resident expert on women's sports shoes. As anyone who has ever purchased shoes online would attest, the likelihood of receiving a poorly fitting shoe is quite high. When my wife first tried on the Icebug sneaker, she commented that they felt a little snug on the sides, but comfortable in length. We agreed that she should wear them around the house before passing final judgment on their fit. As it turns out, she now likes everything about the Icebug sneaker -- including design, arch support, cushioning, the light weight, and, most of all, the comfort. My wife is not easy to please when it comes to shoes, particularly sports shoes. I know from the experience of being with her in a shoe store. She was a competitive runner for many years, with medals and a tee-shirt collection to prove she took the sport seriously. So, when she says, "I like everything about the Icebug shoe," I'm convinced it's worthy of a 5-star rating.
I wasn't sure about getting $160 t-shoes.Note: I am a tried-and-true Saucony wearer/owner (decades long & right now I have 10 pairs). But here is the breakdown:Good Stuff:The shoes are lightweight, the grip on the bottom is amazing in wet conditions (pretty good in icy conditions), they are breathable, the flat/ribbed shoelaces stay tied, and the shoes are very cushioning/comfortable (with a small exception). The colors are okay & the blunted toe-look is okay.I ordered my "Saucony" size and it was an exact fit with plenty of toe room. Not Bad/Not Great Stuff (small exception):The arch support is good but slightly high, so it caused some heel pain/lack of support because the arch was too high in such a sunk-in/low heel cup (for me) -- I had to put in the slight gel heel support and that fixed the issue, and that made the shoes super, super comfortable.Overall, they really are comfortable (with the gel heel insert), and the grip is really good (hiking on wet, waterfall rocks in Colorado was a piece of cake).I just don't know that I could spend that much; they are however, the first t-shoes I grab (4-1/2 stars).
I am a big sneaker fan- I have a lot of pairs and lots of different brands and I was shocked at how comfy these are. They’re insanely soft and cushiony and perfect for walks and or running. If you’re debating these- 100% recommend them- and they’re true to size- so I always size half a size up in sneakers and that was perfect for these also.
Kind of clunky looking but amazingly lightweight. My new favorite! RECOMMEND
I’ve been using this daily for a long time now for work and has been one of my fave shoes. It’s light weight, comfy and can stand all day with this. I would say it’s probably a half size bigger than most shoes but I find this comfy. I wear size 7 and I have some wiggle room for my toes which is great because it’s not pinching on toe box. Price is a bit steep I would say since this is the first time I have heard about this brand.
