Icebug shoes are a must in the great white North.
This is my 4th pair of Icebug shoes in 12 years, so they last about 3 winters for me, and that is with almost daily use from November through early April. I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. They are great on packed snow trails as well as snowy/icy roads. The studs do not wear down on pavement. The only days I don't wear them are when I am snowshoeing instead. I have ordered men's Icebugs in the past for the width but could not find any available this time so I went up 1/2 size from my usual size in women's and they fit well with plenty of room for my wide feet.

After several icebug shoes, finally found the perfect fit and style. Looking forward to icy conditions :) Update: Replaced with half a size up for a better fit. With winter socks, actual size felt a bit tight. Great shoe all around.

ice pick traction
What do you like about an ice pick? Is it because you stick it in ice and it rips it apart. Well these shoes are just like that. when you walk on ice you do not have to worry about slipping and sliding and falling down., because they have little blunt end ice picks on the soles. Still be careful but walk with confidence on snow or ice. I have had ice bugs since 2007 and would not want to be without them. My mother (80) as well. A GREAT present for mom or dad. I just can't say enough good things about them. The new turn button design for tying is great. turn to tighten pull out to untie. No more untied shoes!!!!
