Nice trail shoes, but run a little small?

I own a few other runners/trail hikers and I gotta say these are very nice pair. A bit pricey for a brand not widely known (myself), but the fit/feel are quality.Likes:1. The BOA system is nice, I love that this is incorporated as opposed to laces or straps.2. Comfortable all around w/BOA I get a snug fit but not uncomfortable. Heel/Arch support feel good.3. Material looks premium, I love knowing the Gore-Tex lining will keep my feet dry on those damp mountain runs.4. The “knobby’s” on the sole seem to really grip on the dirt trail, especially where there’s wet grassy area.My only complaint is the sizing, normally take a 8 1/2 runner but these seem to run a bit small? Otherwise I love these ICEBUGs!

falling apart after two months

I bought these shoes for my daughter, a cross country runner, in June. The bottom of one shoe is coming apart, and she hasn't even started the season yet. I expected a shoe at this price point to last much longer, especially a shoe that touts its sole as a primary feature.

GTX trail running

I bought these for taking my dog on walks when it's raining or has rained to stay dry. And, I'm a runner so thought if they are comfortable I might try out on the trail. I would not run in these shoes. They do not have the flexibility of a running shoe. They have a narrow toe box and they do fit a bit smaller than expected. I like the quick tie dial that helps getting them on and off when wet and muddy.

Snug Fit, Not Very Flexible

The look of these shoes is fantastic and it is very well made. I appreciate the no strings feature for ease of wearing and the waterproof exterior. The size 8 is a snug fit and not very flexible, however. I do not plan on a long hike in them.
