They are great shoes with excellent grip.
Personally I love these shoes. I'm on my 5th pair and I bought 6 more pairs for future use. I like them so much I wear the black ones to work and I use some of the other colors for backpacking. These shoes are extremely durable, dry very quickly, and are comfortable. The ride is firm but positive, exactly how I like a zero drop shoe to feel. I don't feel like I'm sinking into the insoles but there is also protection without compromising ground feel. At first I didn't know how to feel about the thin tongue but after a few times wearing them the tongue broke in and become a non issue. I find these to be an overall durable and quality shoe... much better than some other popular zero drop trail runners I've used in the past. I'm satisfied with these. My only complaint is the laces that are paired with the shoes out of the box come loose often so a double knot is necessary. Other than that I have no complaints whatsoever.

800 miles review: Durable upper, soft outsole, ok midsole foam, narrow fit.
In two sentences: Don't use on asphalt often, else it'll wear down the outsole lugs very quickly. Otherwise, it'll last for hundreds of miles.MIDSOLE: The primary thing that led me to this shoe was extensive research on midsole foam. While some are designed to improve energy return, oftentimes these foams lack durability and lose performance within 500 miles, leading to shin splits and other issues. Inov8 claims that their graphene infused foam is far more durable than standard EVA foams, whereas PEBA, TPU, etc are comparable or only slightly better. Indeed, after using these shoes extensively I can confirm that the foam doesn't really seem to degrade. The downside is that the foam is not very squishy or reboundy. It's closer to but still softer than the soft rubber of a wedge-toe work boot than a high performance midsole.OUTSOLE: While the foam doesn't degrade, what does degrade are the lugs on the sole. Really quickly, I might add. This is the case with many trail running shoes, but these are particularly soft and/or there's not enough lugs to give good surface area. So if I were to buy another, I'd exclusively keep it for trail use and possibly double the lifespan. Additionally, walking on wet pavement with these is like walking on ice.FIT: The fit is pretty narrow, but not terribly so. I have extremely wide feet, so it's an issue for me but it does stretch. Preferably, a wider toebox would be nice.UPPER: The upper is well made. I used it regularly for warehouse work (not ideal for such harsh conditions on paved surfaces) which have shredded nikes, asics, and countless others in a matter of months. This shoe, however, shrugs off scraping against pallets and steel. The TPU layers along the edge between the sole and the upper is really effective.Would I buy it again for $190? No. Is it a good pair of shoes? Yeah, particularly for trail running only.

Great grip
I am a big fan of Inov-8 shoes. These are the best yet got distances of 50k. I purchased these for a 100 mile wet, hilly, rooty, muddy race. They had adequate cushioning and just would not slip on the rocks. I do buy these shoes 1.5 sizes up.
