Natural, wide toebox, stiff, inflexible sole
Nice round and wide toebox, despite lacking volume vertically compared to New Balance's 520 v9 or Beacon v2 (see pictures), the Roadfly's wide toebox more than makes up for that. The sole is hard and stiff and a little thinner than what im used to, you can feel all the imperfections and the insole curling up along the perimeter on either side squeezing/folding your foot in.Not a true neutral, overcorrects pronation and rolls my feet a bit out to the side.Runs small. The Beacon (in green), a true neutral, is the same size as the Roadfly, but runs longer and taller (more volume) than the Roadfly. The arch support sits too far back towards the heel instead of the highest arch point of my foot. Perhaps going up half or a full size up would remedy the problem. If your top priorities are a natural wide toebox, minimal heel drop, slight stability support (overpronation correction), and don't mind a fairly stiff, inflexible sole, this is the shoe for you.
