Great cross trainers with excellent lateral stability

As a physical therapist, I HATE to work out and cross train in running shoes...but finding a good cross trainer shoe is getting increasingly challenging. After going down the internet rabbit hole with a personal trainer friend, and reading lots of cross trainer reviews, I purchased these. I had never heard of the INOV8 brand before. (Though I did notice it made an appearance on Benedict Cumberbatch--his jogging clothes--in a scene of The Roses.) I use these at the gym during weightlifting and HIIT classes and I am now a huge fan of the brand! The shoes are great for people with wide forefeet, while still having a nice secure fit around the heel and collar. The uppers and soles are structured with a lot of lateral stability. From skater jumps to lateral lunges, these are far superior to running shoes. Other people have been taking notice and two folks at my gym now wear this brand!

Great Crossfit Shoe!

Love these shoes! My first pair of Crossfit shoes were the Inov8 235 V3. Love them, the way they fit my foot, but needed a bit more stability for lifting. Then tried the NoBull Trainer+ (good looking shoes, a bit narrow, and broke down quickly), Reebok Nano 2.O (felt like a low quality shoe, roomy toe box) then the Born Primitive Savage (caused plantar fasciitis but loved the shoe!) so had to change again and decided to go back to Inov8 and bought this shoe. Overall look of the shoe is good. I really like a black/gum shoe. I love that this shoe has the Inov8 trademark foot shaped which fits my foot like a glove. I have wide feet and many of the Crossfit shoes are made narrow i.e. NoBull. Though, with Inov8, I do need to go up a half size. I typically wear an 8, but sent them back and got the 8.5 which was perfect. I like the stability of the shoe for lifting (specifically split jerks). I really like what I call the spongy-ness of the sole which is nice when jumping rope. The only drawback to the shoe and didnt give it 4 stars is because of the laces ... they frequently come untied which is quite frustrating to stop during a work out. I like that the laces wouldn't seem to shred, but Im frequetly checking my laces to see if the need to be retied. The only reqson I did not give this shoe 5 stars is because of the laces. Other than that, I feel they are the perfect Crossfit shoe. I dont think that I will venture away from Inov8 again. Stick with what works.

Perfect shoe fit

Quality very good since I'm just using them as my everyday walking/exercising. Not at all heavy with just the right arch support not to high or low. I'm usually a 9 in sneakers so I ordered them a half size up so the fit is just right. My balance on it is exactly what I was looking for and feel I won't slip or fall as I walk on any surface.

Very disappointing!!

These are great shoes, but after a few months of only wearing them indoors the rubber sole is peeling off. I’m very disappointed as they are not cheap.

I love the stability and lightness. I wear 9 but had to order 9.5

To the point - I love these for the stability for lifting and kickboxing. Stability which is really important for those types of workouts. Also they're super light If you have narrow feet you may not like these -- they may feel too wide.I wanted to compare these to the Reebok Nano 5s in my normal size 9 and I really like them too - they're a tad heavier which is really nitpicking on my part.Long review if you're interested but not necessary:I ordered 3 sizes to figure out which fit best. I'm normally a size 9 but it was a tad too short. So sent them back and panicked so I ordered 9.5 and 10. I had to return the 10. I feel like Golidlocks but worth the trials and tribulations of buying gym shoes online. (Convenient but challenging)

Great shoe, poor sizing

I love the pair that fits but I’ve now tried two more pairs of the same size and they don’t fit. They obviously are not sized consistently.

Light but stable!

These are my new favorite shoes for CrossFit. Stable for lifting, nimble for box jumps, and just enough flex for a comfortable run. These do it all! They do seem to run small but they still work for me.
