Best boots I've ever owned. On my fifth pair.
Someday Red Wing will stop making these boots. The world and my feet will be all the worse for it. I got my first pair of these about six or seven years ago and I haven't bought anything else since. They are comfortable, supportive and hard wearing. I work as a contractor and wear them every day. They are nice enough to wear to an office and tough enough to wear to an industrial facility. A pair will last me just over a year before they're just too messed up looking. Mind you I don't have to replace them because they start to fall apart or the sole wears out. I just mess them up so bad that they look terrible. I recommend a good boot insole to go with them. This boot might not be for you, but nobody is perfect.

Comfortable, light and well made
I don't write reviews often. Just buy them. Really comfortable, don't slip in oil and the boots are very sturdy. I blow the heel out on all of the soles in my boots. After using them for a while working 10 hour days working in the shop they still feel new. I suppose that's the long break in period some mention. I feel that's an awesome thing since they are great out of the box.

Smart design, well built, comfortable!
Best work boot I have owned to date. Comfortable from day one. Sizing was accurate for me. Always had a problem with steel toe boots causing bunions and calluses. Not this boot. They did away with string hooks on the row second from top and went with a heavy duty leather loop. GREAT idea. This is where the shoe string always wears out, plus, because of the work I do, I kneel a lot and always collapse that hook. Eliminated both of those problems! Try to get 2 years out of a pair and have found that challenging as of late. These appear that they will exceed that!!

Good fit for a medium width. My feet run narrow and lace ups are the only way I can get a decent fit. Well made boots. Irish Setter and Red Wing have always been top of the line shoes / boots. Worn them for many years.

Good Product - Not a True Red Wing Shoe
This is a good overall shoe. It fit as expected, I have owned several pairs of Red Wind Boots in the past, so sizing was not difficult. I choose this boot to serve as a nice steel toed shoe to wear with dress clothes rather than to work in. Once it arrived I discover it was Made In China. So if you are looking for the true hand crafted in the USA stick with Red Wings. This being a Red Wing Irish Setter Brand. With that in mind, I am still very satisfied thus far. The quality is still better than other brands I have seen. Red Wings still upholds their quality standard for this boot. It is as comfortable as any other Red Wing I have owned. and appears to be a compatible durability and construct, bearing in mind it is half the price of a true Red Wing boot. so I would rank it about half the quality, which is still far above many other brands.
