These are boots. I put on every day to take the dogs out for their walk. We don’t do a whole lot of mileage, but it’s every weather spring summer fall winter. They’re very easy on off and pretty good protection from anything we come across.
I bought two pair of these boots, one for me and one for the wife. They feel very high-quality, they fit perfectly, and they are very thick and durable. I also like that they have real treads on the boots instead of thin rubber. The boots are very tall also to protect from any lunging critters.I have not been bitten by a snake yet wearing these :) but I feel pretty confident that even a medium to large rattlesnake or cottonmouth would not be able to penetrate these boots. They are very comfortable to wear all day and definitely waterproof. I’m a big guy and put these to the test several times already. I like ‘em.
I was kinda hesitant to purchase… but, glad I did. My husband loved them/has enjoyed wearing for his hunting trips! Very well made boots, not to heavyweight.
Balance and stability, comfort, warm and yet cool. Safe from ankle biters. Excellent fit let’s me trail blaze twice as far
Not for short people. I am short and also 'blessed' with short, wide calves. I hoped that these boots might work based on the 'wide calf' description but they are too tall for my legs and also cannot be zipped up. Just a complete wrong fit. Very heavy and stiff material. I'm sure they would have been a deterrent against snake bites and insects while hiking on unimproved property, which is what I was looking for, but they would have also been uncomfortable in the summer heat and added a lot or work to the hike with the added weight even if they had fit.
These are great boots, but not for a person with a high instep. Tried a larger size and had the sameissue as the first. To Bad, they are made really well and looked really nice. Update, I tried again and went up 2 sizes. THEY FIT !!!! I where a 13W and ordered a 15W. The larger size fits like my normal size would. Defintely order up a size they are well worth it !
The zippers rub and make noise. Kinda loud and heavy boots. Very warm and durable. Not for super long hikes
