Love This High Quality Shoe. Size Runs Small. Need better laces.
I have had these shoes for four months and I am very impressed with their quality. I wear them 5 days a week, 8-10 hours per day. For comfort, style, durability, and quality I have no complaints. I am a heavier guy (275 lbs) so a lot of shoes wear out quick for me. These have held up better than any pair I have owned. They are definitely worth the $125 I paid.However, there are two issues that I had with them:1) The size runs small. I have worn a 10.5 since I was 17 years old in every boot and shoe I have owned. A 10.5 was painful; felt like my foot was in a vice. I returned them and tried an 11 D and they worked great.2) The shoes stings could be better. After 4 months the lace on the right side broke and one on the left was beginning to split. Not a big deal, but I would expect for such a high quality shoe and higher price that the shoe lace be top quality also.Follow Up July, 2017:Still love this shoe. I have had them for about 18 months and they still look great. The leather has held up well and I have only done the minimal upkeep. The soles are showing wear so I will probably have them resoled soon. I am a bigger guy at 270 lbs so my shoes typically wear out within a year. These have held up remarkably and still have a lot of life left. Best shoe I have ever owned.

Pretty good.
This review is about 10 months in, wearing them about every other day. Day 1 I abraded the toe on a cinder block, which caused about a half inch peel which I repaired. It’s fine.With polishing and oiling they’ve taken on a nice patina, though they do not feel or look like premium full grain leather or hide. For a comparison, look at the ECCO Track 25, which retails for twice the price. That leather is amazing, but unfortunately that shoe has a few fatal flaws which this one doesn’t (crumbling soles, fragile lacing system, lousy glue…).These are really comfortable and pretty durable. They look good, but the leather doesn’t have a premium feel if you care about that kind of thing.

Reliable, Handsome, and Built to Last. My Second Pair for a Reason
This is my second pair of Irish Setter SoftPaws, so that should tell you something. My first pair wasn’t even new, I bought them used off eBay. I wore those for two solid years before the sole finally popped off. At first, I thought it was a bad shoe, but when I looked closer, I realized they had been resoled before I ever owned them. Those shoes easily had three or four years of wear on them before I put my two years into them. That’s impressive.Once you break these in, they fit beautifully. You can even slide your feet in and out without fully unlacing them, as long as you keep the laces a little loose. They’re waterproof, they’re handsome, and they dress up or down without any effort, jeans, chinos, casual, semi-dress, whatever.When it was time to replace my old pair, I didn’t hesitate. I bought a wide size this time because my first pair had already been broken in when I got them, and I figured a fresh pair might take a little more work. Glad I did, they’re comfortable right out of the box.Irish Setter SoftPaws are just solid, dependable shoes. Durable, versatile, and honestly worth buying twice.

Comfortable and Durable
I have been wearing these Irish Setter shoes for about a year. They took a long time to break in but they were still comfortable during that time. I've walked up to four miles, at 4 mph, on concrete wearing these shoes and my feet and joints felt great. The Soft Paw shoes are a great value. After 20+ years wearing over priced Track II shoes my new daily drivers are the Irish Setter Soft Paw.
