$60 hunting boots! Limited sizes.

$60! Seriously, $60! Incredible value for what you are paying. They feel like a $140 boot. A very comfortable hunting boot. The ankle stiffness is perfect for hiking with a heavy (45 lbs) pack on uneven terrain. The boots are lightweight and feel good on my feet. I’ve hiked around 7 miles in them. So far they are holding up without any problems. I’ve gotten them wet twice and my feet were dry both times. The lugs on the sole are aggressive enough to provide firm traction on loose soil. I believe the ones I got are supposed to be uninsulated but they feel a bit warm in 100 degree weather. However, they are not uncomfortably hot.

Light, comfy, and sturdy!

First thing I was surprised by was how light it was when I picked it up. This was followed by how sturdy it felt when I put it on. I just spent the better part of the day wearing it around the house with my arch inserts and hiking socks on and it feels great! Sized like a sneaker so definitely order at least a half-size up if you plan on wearing it with layers of socks like I do when I hike. Price drops to $60 for black friday so hang on for the sale!

Not too bad.

I'm always skeptical about buying boots online cuz a lot of times they don't fit i went up a 1/2 a size, even though they say 11 double EI probably could have went with an 11 and a 1/2. Worn all day when I went shopping to do a break in after about 4 hours, they're nice and warm. My feet were sweating when I pulled them off when I got home.

Not as waterproof as expected

I've never had Irish Setter boots and after reading the reviews bought my first pair. I've had danners, rockies, bates ect to use as comparison. These boots are very lightweight, lighter than most of my other boots, Merrells are comparable and lightweight bates but dint have the insulation that the setters do. I can't attest to the durability yet but they appear well made with the exception of the tongue. The tongue is only 1/2 gusseted. On a waterproof boot, I would expect a fully gusseted tongue. All my other boots are fully gusseted. Almost decided to send them back because of this but thought I would wear them around the house to see how they fit. I have high arches and require shoes with good arch support. The setters offer this and we're quite comfortable to walk in, almost like wearing high top sneakers. I noticed good stability and slightly higher heel while walking around my house. While not a true test, it still gave a solid first impression. The sole looks and feels well thought out, it's on the thin side with a tpu shank which I like. I've had boots with thick blocky soles before, they always caused problems. I feel that I could wear the Setters all day comfortably. They should have put speed laces on these boots, I've never liked the upper hook eyelets, a lace will occasionally come loose. The setters were bought as a winter boot, they look like a good buy, though they lost a star due to the 1/2 tongue.
