Rugged, great fit, solid boot

I have had many brands of boots over the years and most do not last a year for me. We have 20 forested acres and are building a small personal farm on it. I work my boots very hard mud, ice, snow, rain, logging, construction, road work, animal husbandry, etc. I do NOT have the budget to buy $700 custom boots but still need boots to last more then a year and not break the bank. I had narrowed my choice down to several $200-ish boots Timberland, Merrell, Georgia, and a few others. These Irish Setters Trailblazers were very high on the list. I wear a 11.5 Wide and it sometimes is hard to find that size, but the Trailblazers offers it. When my size was on a sale I decided to buy a pair. The sale was so good I decided to buy a second pair the next day, sight unseen. When the first pair arrived I put them on right away and they were ever so slightly snug, but I wore them around the house for 2 days and BOOM they fit like a glove. The second pair arrived and I did the same with those same result, fits like a glove. I tested the first pair out in the mud and snow we still have here over the past weeks and they grip very well and my feet stayed very dry. These boots are very solid and sturdy and I assume they will be able to last me easily more then a year. If I ever wear these two pair out I will search high and low to buy another pair! Or since they are true "Goodyear Welt Construction" have them rebuilt.

Redwings, best boots I've ever worn

I was a Union Bricklayer for 25 years and the Union Field Rep for 15 more. While in the field laying brick, I found out about Redwing boots in 1993, they've been the ONLY boots I've worn ever since. I'd always kept a pair for Summer (These, and listen, I'm not sure when I actually bought my first pair of this model, but once I did, they were the only ones I'd wear from then on) and Winter typically having to purchase another pair of each every 5 years or so, and I'd have the soles replaced as needed, two and a half years typically. Construction, and Bricklaying in particular is brutal on boots, with the dust, dirt and mortar that's constantly on them. I would always brush them off after work everyday and lubricat the leather with mink oil and a shoe brush every other week or so.Even when I moved out of the field and into the office as the field Rep, my job was still to report to construction sites and conduct union business. I replaced the boots three times in those 15 years. Now that I've been retired for three years, I very promptly purchased another pair that I finally don't have to work in. Very stylish with jeans, all I ever wear anyway.

Workhorse of a Boot!

Perfect for ny husbands narrow feet. He is on his feet all day and struggles to find a work boot that is supportive, comfortable and durable. We order these 2 times a year and they are dependable!

Good boots.

Really good heavy duty boots. The leather is good and thick and the welt is leather as well. I replaced the insoles with 10-12 oz leather insoles I cut myself and now they are as good as regular Red Wings.

Good boot but laces are a bit short and wide isn’t very wide

Too early to comment on longevity but they are nice boots. Con’s are laces area bit short and the wide width isn’t very wide. I normally wear 11EE and bought 11.5 EE based on reviews. They were still snug in width

Best Boots Ever!!

Quite possibly the best boot I've ever worn in over 2 decades! I have now owned several pairs of these. I would not buy anything else, I'd rather wait for them to be in stock.Virtually zero break-in period dealing with blisters and "rub". The one issue I've had repeatedly is with the laces. They wear out within 6 to 8 months and begin to fray. Easy replacement with 16" long laces. (Morr if your foot/boot is larger than 8-1/2). Easily get 2+ years of use from these boots!
