First of, they got here a day early. Thanks. Ok, about the boots. You can spend all you want and you won't get better. Got good or of the box. No heavier than is to be expected(they aren't tap dancing shoes). Seem good and sturdy. Nice padded ankles. Good work boots!
Build quality seems good with strong stitching and good materials. I went ahead and sprayed them down with water proofing as I work in a wet environment on occasion. So far, no wet feet. Best thing about them was NO break-in time! Never made my very sore from day one.They do seem to run a little large for size though. I wear a 13 EEE in most boots and sometimes a 14 in a NewBalance tennis shoe. These are actually a little large in a 13 W. Nothing thicker socks don't fix. I don't expect these to last much more than a year at this price. We'll see.
I bought these for chainsawing, didn't really want to cut a foot off.I read all the reviews, and ordered down 1/2 size. I wear a 10.5 regular width in every other shoe/boot I've bought in the last 10 years. The 10 I ordered (1/2 size down) felt HUGE. I had to send it back and I could not decide if I should go down to a 9.5 or a 9. I went with the 9.5. It fits better but is still a bit loose. I believe the 9 would have fit snugly but well, and that is 1.5 full sizes below what I wear in every other shoe/boot. They are fairly low arch which is good for my foot. They feel fairly comfortable, and are heavy as you would expect for this type of construction and protection.As for the quality, they seem well-made. As mentioned in other reviews, the inside back where the heel goes is a bit rough and would take some breaking in. There is just stitching there that is not covered in padding that you can feel, not sure how long it would take to break that in.For me, for the price and the amount of use they are going to get, I am happy with them. It's a lot of protection for under $80. If I was going to be wearing these 10 hours a day, 5 days a week, I'm not so sure. I would have probably sent them back again and tried the 9, and looked at more expensive options.If you take a chance on these are are in the size 10-ish range, I would definitely start 1 full size lower than usual.
Boots fit a little bigger than the size. Need more cushion on insole. I put massaging gel insoles in and they are perfect. Weld on my feet for ten hours a day and feet don’t hurt. Didn’t need to break them in at all. Stiff for a hour and fine. Well worth the price. I have paid more for boots that weren’t worth it. These boots are very good. I definitely would buy them again

You'll probably get these boots to save some money but it's not worth it. Especially if you're a heavy set guy like me, these boots will hurt like hell and you'll hate everyday walking in them. They're not water resistant at all either. As soon as water is at the seam of the sole, your feet are wet. I was short on money abd the job required metatarsal boots and I went with these. Now I'm stuck with them and about to throw more money down on some boots. Take care of your feet people
My husband has a hard time finding work shoes and should disclose that we knew it would be a 50/50 shot if these would work upon ordering. Since Amazon is so great with returns, thought we would try it. They unfortunately didn't work. Fit was alright, but they were extremely hard in regards to the insole and that doesn't work well when you stand on your feel all day.
