Cushioned bottom makes them very comfortable. I buy two pair at a time -- one I use in my home and one pair I travel with (locally or out of town travel). Whenever I have to remove my shoes (entering someones home or in hotels, etc) I do not like to be barefooted or in socks only so these fit in my purse or in my car and I use a pair all of the time when I am without shoes. Love them. I throw them in the wash machine and dryer without a problem. With very regular use a pair lasts for a year or longer. If not used as regularly as I use them, they'd probably last several years.

A bit large, but not uncomfortably so and the slipper doesn't feel like it's going to fall off so I like that the fit is forgiving. It's shiny and soft, and hasn't snagged or gotten runs. The bottoms are comfortable and I feel they will last me about a year. I haven't put them in a washing machine so I cannot comment on that but it doesn't seem like they would hold up well if washed that way (even though the package said they were machine washable). I take a soft, barely dampened brush to the bottoms and then air dry.My only complaint is that there is a Left and Right slipper and they are marked on the bottom, but you can't tell the difference from the topside and I really don't like flipping them over before putting them on every time. I tied a colored ribbon to the bow on one to tell the difference, but it'd be nice if they made it with some way of differentiating it.

Favorite slippers
I wear slippers daily around the house, even in summer. I am a little picky about them, and these are hands-down my favorites after trying many. My feet get hot, so I don't like the types with fur, fleece, or other heavy linings. I want something that's easy to get on and off when I am one-handed carrying things around. I want something that won't scuff the floors and has no rigid bottom, but that I can wear to the mailbox if needed. I also want something that's got a little padding for when I am standing in the kitchen for a long time. I also want something that's not bulky, because I take them with me when I visit family and (good) friends; these are flat and easy to slip into my bag. Also, although they obviously wear out and get dirty over time, I love that I can throw these in the wash.I call these my "granny slippers" because they remind me of the type my grandmother used to wear, but I love them, and one of my favorite things is putting them on when I come home!

They would probably last way longer if I used them just as slippers, but they're so simple and SUPER comfortable, so I often go to class with them, go to the super market with them, etc. Often, they pull off (the look) as looking like regular flats, but instead you'll be walking around in total bliss and comfort.However, if you plan to use them how I do, I would highly suggest to check the whether before leaving the house; water tends to ruin them faster.** the picture of me holding them is my old pair that needed replacing. Again, they should last probably a year or two if you plan on using them just as slippers/indoor shoes. But if you use them how I do, they last about 6 months to close to a year. These are my all-time favorite style of slippers! I say there is no arch support mainly because they are slippers. I do wear them all day around the house, and on a rare occasion, forgot I was wearing them on a trip to the corner store. These are not too light weight, and not too heavy.
