lightweight mesh sneakers, with a few issues. [ i LOVE this unique "khaki" color! ]
i have another (same color) pair of lightweight, mesh slip-ons from this company. i wear them all the time, they're super comfortable, and fit me perfectly. so i was excited when i saw these lace-ups, and jumped on 'em right away.they're good, but not as great as the slip-ons. they're bulkier and clunkier than i assumed they'd be (still very lightweight, though). they're exactly my size (america: 9-Wide; europe: 42), but they're not really true to size. they run a tad big, but what bugs me more is how they have little areas all over where they kinda pucker, or have little crimps and sags (looks like 'dents', but it's just air). the toe box is a bit problematic --just too much extra room up front.i think maybe they're just not as well made as the slip-ons were?i dunno. i will certainly wear them (with thick crew socks) and i'm not sorry i ordered them. one of the truly great things about these shoes, is that they arrived with NO weird or noxious odor whatsoever. they don't even smell rubbery --they're essentially odorless. to me, that's a big deal, and a real plus.nevertheless, i can't really recommend them, the way i enthusiastically did, with the the slip-ons. the rubber outer soul is not as subdued and attractive as the similar ones on the slip-ons (on which they're slimmer, lower, and more simple in design). actually, the entire shoe is not as attractive as the slip-ons look to me.so frankly, if you're shopping for super lightweight sneakers, at the 55$ otd pricing, i think you can do better, and without needing to spend a dime more. i'm rating these at three-and-a-half stars, which rounds up to four.* [but if you don't already own their (similar looking, 5-star) mesh slip-ons, you should get you some, right away!]:)

I got these shoes for my husband. He's had a knee replacement and tries to walk a couple miles everyday. He found these shoes comfortable with a decent amount of padding and cushioning. He found that the shoes didn't really have much arch support resulting in knee pain if he walked more than 1 mile. The mesh top looks more like a plastic mesh rather than a fabric mesh. He said his feet got sweaty (even with socks). The shoes are attractive. He wears them now o do yard work - not for walking.

The soles offer good grip, and the fit is true to size, so you should be able to go with your typical shoe size and find it fits the same.
