Most comfortable, light, sporty heels ever
Amazing, incredibly comfortable, just enough arch to make them actually improve stride and look deceivingly dramatic as far as heel height to platform ratio - mild incline but especially fashionable in black I'd say. I've tried very hard to find anything similar, they're unbelievably light and the soles have more grip than perhaps any shoe I've tried including non-skid work shoes. They also hold onto the foot nicely so that twisting to either side can be bounced back out of instead of risking twisting your ankle or smooshing off the sides. Put another way, you can bounce outwards and inwards onto the edges and back to center as one might with a pair of tennis shoes while standing idly fidget swaying left and right tipping the shoes onto their sides though maintaining balance. The grip on the floor is a big part of this, but so is the gently loose yet firm guard of the straps.Really hoping they stock more of these! I've bought three pairs if including the "Encore" version. The only thing I'd say is that when and if the straps break, use screws to fix them through the sides right under where they'd originally been woven between foot pad and sole. With the right screws they become the sturdiest heels I could imagine.Kicking a kick scooter is a dream in these, after getting used to them it's very difficult going back as the heel increases kicking strength and stride off the whole foot very noticeably, to the extent that normal sandals then work the muscles much harder for less stride and scooting speed, and other heels I've tried simply can't provide as stable and of an active wear everyday fashionable sporty heel. I wouldn't hesitate to call them competitively performance enhancing in some arenas, yes in running but especially kick scooting, given the increased height thus length of stride combined with the stronger kick off the heel. The arches I'd argue are much more like natural arch support than heels for fashion, literally no strain over daily rigorous use nor awkward shifting of too much weight toward the ball of the foot as nearly every heel past a certain height has problems with. Also has none of the hardness problems and discomfort of other platform heels, I'm tempted to exaggerate and say soft as a pillow, apparently under the foot beds going about halfway down through the sole are porous holes rather than one solid chunk of sole.AWESOME!! Only recommendation is to improve just how the straps are woven in. Strong stitching or perhaps a model attaching to the sides with studs instead would be nice. Screws I've found even nicer, but I'm aware that's not the typical fashion. I think I prefer the Encore design as they're easier to slip into and out of since you can just use the front strap like a slip on in a cinch.
