Not Bad Exercise Show but Exceptional Water Shoe
I'm always looking to try out new athletic shoes and these ones, being slip-on shoes, were of particular interest. I generally go a half-size up when I get a slip-on shoe and these were no exception. Even after loosening the tension cord in the back, it was still a little bit of an effort to put these on over my socks. Once I got them on, they were a good fit, holding securely to my feet without being too tight. The heels have a bit of a rise to them which felt a little odd, but was not uncomfortable on long hikes. The shoes had excellent traction on slightly muddy trails and they had good grip when climbing over large rocks. The shoes are quite well ventilated and able to keep the feet fairly cool.I think where these shoes really shine is when used as water shoes. They are permeable to water and drain fairly quickly. The insole is made of a foam type material that does not become water logged like normal shoes. Most importantly, these fit better than any water shoe I have ever worn. Most water shoes start to slip around on your feet once they are really wet, and their grip is pretty marginal. With these shoes, however, they remain secure about your feet and provide excellent grip on a wide variety of underwater terrain. For that reason, I have given these shoes 5 stars instead of just 4.If you need a pair of slip-on exercise shoes, you could probably do better. However, if you need a pair of water shoes then these are an excellent buy!

Nice shoes. Not great, but nice. And a very good value,
Not bad. At first I was disappointed in them but the more I wear them, the more I've gotten to like them.1. Initially, they were very difficult to put on. The more I've worn them, they have gotten easier to put on.2. I believe they mold to your feet a little. Again, the more I wear them, the more comfortable they become.3. Not a lot of arch support. Not the shoe I would wear for an entire day, but fine in short stretches.4. They are a very good value. So, not great, but still pretty good.

Great for Summer Water Sports
These are great affordable shoes for summer water sports. They offer a good amount of coverage and protection while also easily draining water through the mesh sections of the shoes. They are perfect for climbing up rivers and for any rocky water activities. The shoes are comfortable and easy to slip on and off but with the drawstring at the heel they are secure on your feet.Overall, I'm happy with the "Jambu Men's Tex Black Sneakers All-Terra Outsoles for Traction, Weather-Tough Uppers".

Soles as flimsy as flip flops, not for me.
Should have followed my instincts and sent right back but I was going fishing next day and my curiosity got the best of me. Was looking for a lightweight, trail, water shoe. They are that except the sole is so flimsy , my feet were battered to death from the rocks in the river. Nowhere near enough protection for a full day on the river. My feet are really sore, waste of money for my needs. The one good quality is that the bottoms are not slippery on wet rocks. Would be ideal for fine sand and surf but not for rugged terrain.

great for short water adventures
I was surprised by the good quality of these shoes, at least by looking at them but am unable to judge based on any long-term yet. They're good looking shoes, love the blue and black. I already have a flat comfortable pair of water shoes that I've worn on countless walks on the beach, but they don't provide any arch support and so my feet end up tired but comfortable. My hope is that these shoes will be even more comfortable for water activities due to the arch support, but I have my doubts about the tall back being an issue with rubbing on my Achilles tendon. I haven't walked far enough in these yet to assess their comfort, but so far so good. These would be more comfortable to wear in socks, but obviously not practical for water activities. These feel odd to wear without socks, but not uncomfortable. So I would say these are good for the beach or any water activities, but I wouldn't plan on walking any great distance in these until you're certain that they're comfortable for you. As far as traveling on a plane to the beach, I'll likely still bring my flat water socks because they pack completely flat. I'll be using these for local use such as going in my kayak where I may be wading in a stream or river and want strong shoes to protect my feet from unknown dangers underwater (sharp rocks, glass, and fish hooks). These are easy to wash off after having used them in the back yard in a muddy situation.

Frankly surprised anyone wouldn't like these - great beach/water shoes for a crazy price
I actually wanted to order these specifically because my mom is a fan of the Chinese shoemaker Jambu, the company who make this JSport line. And I'm impressed – they are much nicer in build and finish than I expected, especially the materials, seams & stitching overall. I tried to get some closeup pics for you to see what I'm talking about. These are the kind of hybrid sandal/beach shoe/water shoes that are very breathable, super-lightweight, and flexible. I got them for taking the dog to the park, running to the store, and working in the garden etc. For those more daring adventurers out there, these would NOT be appropriate for trail running or exploring through the bush for days on end! I've had this type from other brands before; they're basically the closest cousin of sandals you can find in a shoe. Matching the right footwear to the job at hand is key both for your wallet and to take care of your feet! Very nice & exceeded expectations, highly recommended.
