Handmade Jerusalem Sandles
I was pleased to have found these authentic Jerusalem made sandles. The fit was perfect and I feel as though I am walking on air while wearing them. The leather is soft and such a rich color. I love the imprint of the camel, the palm tree and the imprint of being made in Jerusalem. There is something Holy about these sandles. These sandles are like those worn over 2000 years ago. I wear these as a statement of my faith.I encourage anyone looking for comfort, beauty and affordability to purchase these sandles.Shipping took 3 days.

Comfort and quality
By far these are the best chanclas in the world. I accidentally ordered them by another seller posing as holy land market but they ripped me off but I did get a refund. Thank you for following through with my order. You’re business makes a greater difference

Not what I thought material or fit
Of course I had to size up by 2 sizes . They look pretty . But not a good fit. Very loose . Even sizing up the were so loose my toes went forward and hung off. The material is not at all worth the money. Very cheap. First delivery they came in a very thin box worse than any shoe store. 2nd delivery they came in a tied up bag. They were dented and scratched. I do not want or like to complain but I just wanted people to know my complications and thoughts. I was really hoping for better fit and quality for price.

Great look and feel
These fit perfect right away. Usually, I would need a few days to break in this type leather, especially at the big toe hold, but these did not need any.

Sandals are great, but sizing is crazy
I have had a set of Camel sandals since last year, and I love them. I wanted to try a different style. I ordered them, and they are 3/4 of an inch different in size that the last pair I had, making them the wrong size. So now I must pay shipping to return them, wait for a refund, and then order another pair, solely because the company cannot keep consistency in their sizing! The sandals are well built, and my first pair is VERY comfortable, but beware the sizing, it seems to be pretty random!

Sizing is important
They fit way too small . I upped my sizes twice to get a bigger size and still didn’t fit well

Here's how to soften the leather straps
New leather straps are very stiff and uncomfortable. You can soften them up quite a bit very easily with products you probably have at home. You'll need rubbing alcohol, and Vaseline (I used store brand petroleum jelly). First, put some alcohol on a cotton ball, or use those sterile alcohol wipes from your first aid kit. Wipe the alcohol over all the straps. You may see a small amount of brown color on the wipes -- that's ok. The alcohol is just opening the pore structure of the leather so it can absorb the vaseline. Now just use your hands to apply globs of the petroleum jelly on the straps, all over them (front, back, sides of the straps), and work it in with your fingers. Bend and work the leather, you'll feel it loosening up, and hear some creaking as you do things like pinch the toe together and bend the straps. I used quite a bit of vaseline, but no worries, it absorbs. I also rubbed the extra off my hands into the sole, but that probably wasn't necessary. Then, I put them in the sun to warm for an hour. The vaseline absorbs into the leather. I actually then did just the vaseline step a second time, pinching and bending and working the leather another 5 minutes, and put them back in the sun again. When done, you can wipe any residual jelly off them. They will feel much softer. And by the way, the toe loop is indeed larger than I would like, as others have said, and that wideness is right where my next toe would sit, meaning my heel kind of skews a little inward on the sole to compensate . I didn't find it a showstopper though, and kept the sandals. For me, once the toe loop is softened the second toe would be able to move back to where it is supposed to be, because leather kind of molds to your foot shape pretty well. The trick is just breaking them in.
