I wear a size 10 1/2. I ordered a size 10 1/2. They fit well with or without a sock. Plenty of toe room and comfortable around my heel. The color is true to the model pic. (Black). I give this shoe a 5☆ for these reasons.
The penny loafers were true to fit. The comfort level was okay, great for around the house. The durability and quality I’m a bit hesitant, which is why I’ve chosen to wear them indoors only. I prefer to wear socks with these, the ribs on the ankle are a bit stiff but maybe over time the material will soften but other areas seem thin, the sole for instance or the top could easily be punctured. The style is clean which I like, the color matches the picture.
I was very skeptical when I ordered these. They were a Vine offer and I was willing to risk the cost to check them out. I was very pleasantly surprised. They do appear to be actual cow sourced leather. No disclaimer that "No animals were harmed in the production of this leather" anywhere!The stitching is well done and consistent. No loose threads or pull throughs. They have been very comfortable from the moment I put them on. The leather is soft and supple and the soles appear to be well attached.I will note that these are not rough work shoes. They are clearly more delicate than even you typical leather casual outside shoe. I would say that anything but light wear in civilized urban environment will take a toll on this shoe.That said, I would guess that if you do not care about damaging the uppers these would be fine for dock wear or casual wear for years.I use them a "around the house with a foraye to the mailbox" type shoe and, of course, great as a dedicated driving moccasin.While these are made in India and based on a traditional Indian slipper, the toe treatment and other modifications give them a very stylish western european look.At $40, I would thing that they are pretty well priced, but that is very subjective.
These loafers surprised me. They fit without discomfort. I can walk in them without discomfort. They aren’t too tight in the toes, they’re not loose in the heel. I like the robber sole. It has a small footprint while feeling like nothing is missing. I wasn’t sure if polyurethane loafers would be any good, given how they tend to wear, but I’ve worn these to walk the dog and they handled fine.The right loafer is a little bit more snug than the left over the center of the foot. I expect it to break in and feel normal, but it’s not leather, so that’s not happening as quickly as I had hoped. On the upside, they’re also slow to wrinkle. They look quite fresh for having ~5 outdoor miles on them. I wore them on the sand and they did better than a lot of sneakers. They’re so smooth and the tread is wide enough that no sand was tracked home. The soles wipe off easily on a doormat.The insoles are basic open-cell foam topped with the same polyurethane as the uppers. I like the smooth footbed. They’re adequate. If these were done in real leather with better foam for the insole, they’d be great loafers. These are good for the price.
OK, first off, these are moccasins but I’m old enough to know that “penny loafers” have a place to put an actual penny. That being said, I work from home and like to wear shoes that are comfortable enough to wear around the house but are still nice enough that I don’t have to change if I need to run an errand. These shoes are actually real leather with nice even stitching. Color is even. I like that the sole is a solid piece of rubber. They are quite comfortable. I was a little concerned when they first arrived, as most of my sneakers have a lip at the back and these are not as high in the back – might need to use a finger or a shoehorn to put them on, but they stay in place quite well. Being moccasins, they do not have any arch support or heel, but they still feel OK after wearing them all day. The rubber of the sole comes part way up the back of the heel so they should work well for driving. Nice price for some real leather moccasins.
They look good, however they are shaped a bit odd they are thinner than a normal loader towards the toes. The quality of the shoe seemed lower grade glue vs. stitched fake leather vs real even with these things they are a good value for the cost. We ordered a size up and that fit well. Walking for longer than a block can be painful, hopefully before to long they will be "worn in" better and stop hurting his feet.
