These Boots are excellent, good price, great quality, warm and fuzzy and the tread on the bottom are fantastic. I will continue to buy these boots and size up as he grows. Size is true to size
Size is spot on. My 11yr old used them on a two day hiking trip to the mountains. They are waterproof and offered great support for his ankles. The boots don’t weight too much which makes it more comfortable while hiking several miles on rocky terrain.

I bought these for my son for our trip to RMNP this past March. Used during that epic snowstorm in the middle of the month. These were thoroughly tested in rain, slush, ice, new and packed snow, and all the way up at altitude on Trail Ridge Road and Flattop Mountain past 11k in 3ft+ of snow.No quality/manufacture issues. The warm/fuzzy interior lining, built-in cleats, and no-lace straps are a nice touch.Reasonably waterproof and comfortable, though an insert might be needed for longer hikes. My son really like the flippable mini-cleats for the thousand moments we had when stopping to equip crampons was too inconvenient.We also tested these with snowshoes, sledding and more. They held up well. Coming back home I had trouble convincing him to stop wearing them to school as he'd gotten so used to them.For the price, I'd recommend considering these if you don't want to invest a lot on expensive boots for a single trip, esp when you live in a warmer climate and have a fast-growing child. Sizing chart was spot on as well.Only issues:His feet got a bit cold after a couple hours trudging through fresh powder. Temps were about 24d at that time/altitude. Not a huge problem and probably doesn't truly reflect on this product. Doubling on thin+thick socks solved that after the first day.Maybe get some waterproof spray just to seal up a touch better. When powder snow packs in on the top of the shoes and starts to melt from body heat, a (very) small amount of moisture did manage to sneak in.
Bought these for our spring break to Yosemite this year for our 8 year old and they worked out great - no blisters, comfortable for long hikes (right out of the box without breaking them in), and somewhat waterproof. The pattern is also cool and rugged. He says that they are easy to put on and take off. He wore them on long Alps hikes again in the summer when it was raining and they worked great. These are a great value!
I was searching for a good hiking boot for my grandson as we have a property up in the White Mountains, NH. I usually have one store that I shop for his clothes and footwear however the prices were so high I opted to look elsewhere. My grandson will only use them for one season and then grow out of them so I was looking for quality as well as a reasonable price. Well these boots are both, great quality at a very reasonable price. The boots are rugged and strong on the outside for walking and climbing but the inside of the boot is so soft and comfortable for his feet. The boots even have a metal piece on the heel to open up for grip on icy terrain .The fit was perfect, very roomy so he can wear winter socks and not feel like his feet are squished inside. I will definitely be buying these year after year as he grows!!!!!
Good quality boots, well made, well lined, and they fit the kids very comfortably. Happy campers here.
