First, if you own a pair of Josef Seibel open sandals, bote that the exact same size works for this closed-toe footwear - thanks to Amazon for letting me try a different size, return them and then order the correct size.Second - or maybe a tie for first :-), these may be the most comfortable leather shoes I've ever owned. Usually I wear athletic shoes, but sometimes one wants to be a bit dressy and the beautiful leather of these sandals makes this possible. It is indeed a moment of joy to try on shoes that one wants to keep on ones feet. Handsome leather and as comfortable as my house slippers. I've had an open toe, slide sandal by this brand for some years but was leary of trying this kind of closed shoe. Now I am a confirmed devotee. Very light weight and look like they are made to last.
