I wear size 11, and these fit great. I use them for gardening and they make mucking around outside a lot more enjoyable. They are snug enough in the heel that they don't flap with every step, but taking them off is, therefore, a bit of an effort. A boot jack helps. Maybe if you are younger then my 70's age, this won't be an issue for you. Either way, they are lovely boots, highly recommended.
4/17/23: These are great-looking boots and seem well-made and sturdy. (Will update if that proves to be untrue.).I will caution that they run a bit small… at least a full size by my reckoning. I bought a 9 for the sake of roominess with socks, and they fit like an 8 or maybe 8.5.Edit: Feb24I am so impressed with the quality of these boots. I’ve worn them for a good 4-1/2 - 5 months, every day so far, taking them off-and-on all day long, and except for some light scratching on the upper (not surprising given the abuse they’ve gotten overall), they’re still waterproof, unblemished, and well-soled. I don’t even think there’s any fading of the pattern, or any part of the sole that looks like it’s weakened. Ironically, I bought a second pair because I loved them so much and didn’t expect them to last more than a year … at this rate I may not unpack the second pair for years.Should’ve mentioned in the first review that I added a good insole, and that’s likely improved their comfort.
I purchased the raindrop size 6 in which I normally like a 6 wide..i have a skinny foot with two bad pinky toes so I need the room without sliding out. this fits true to size but .....with a little foot room all around leaving room for inserts or thick socks.They are heavy rubber, strong and durable..i have a skinny calf so the adjustment makes it great to fit with jeans or without.Such good quality,,,definitely worth the money. I usually buy sorel’s so i took a chance with these for heavy rain and i am not disappointed.. take a chance..wellyprint (raindrop) rain boot..perfect and not cheap looking. Thick and comfortable..no lining..but warm.
Absolutely LOVE! The Bugs design is so cute, I receive compliments all the time (I also have the matching rain coat). The boot quality & design is top notch - I wear it constantly in rain, snow & any weather! Fit is perfect. Will be buying more styles.
I wish these boots came in 1/2 sizes because I'm a true 6.5 - sometimes wide - which is why when I'm forced to size up or down, I always go up. I had a pair of size 7s in a different discontinued pattern that I loved and tried to make work, but they we're just too large, slipping probably more than usual because of the heavy weight of boots. I gave them away and decided to try the 6 instead because they are so cute and such great quality. The fit is better now, especially around my heel, but my big toe slightly brushes against the end when I walk. I'm going to try my shoe stretcher on them to see if I can get just a couple extra centimeters of length to make them perfect.Joules - make half sizes, please!
This is the third pair of Joules boots I have purchased and I love them. Between yardwork and irrigation, I use the crap out of them and they are cute to boot. One of my very favorite things about this brand are the adorable and sturdy boxes they come in. I use them to store ribbon and such, so I was SO, so, so sad that the box they came had tape residue all over it at was totally banged and torn up making it unusable. I am assuming it is because they were returned previously. The boots look ok though. I was tempted to take a star because of the box, but realized that would be totally unfair because the boots are seriously great. But the box though.... :(
I love Joules rain boots. I’ve owned a pair for four years. Yes, I do need a new pair about once a year (just bought my third pair) because they start to crack where the top of the boot meets the sole. But, I wear them multiple times a day, every single day, rain or shine, in shallow water and on dry land because I have a Belgian Malinois and I take her out to work her and for potty breaks. These protect my feet, ankles and shins from everything: ticks, ants, mosquitoes, other bugs, tall grass, and... should I step in some other dog owner’s dog poo because they are irresponsible and inconsiderate pet owners, these are super easy to clean off quickly. I like these because they are adjustable around the calf and there is not too much extra room around the ankle area. This makes them super comfortable to walk in and they do not rub too much around the heel and ankle areas. I was a little disappointed in the selection of design when ordering a new pair this go around, but, still happy with them. I’ll always buy Joules rain boots.
