Fit as expected, comfortable, and really cute. I haven’t worn them extensively, but they seem to be holding up nicely. They are chunky, as they’re meant to be, but I don’t feel they are as heavy as shoes of this genre that I wore 20 years ago.
I bought this for my teenage daughter for school. She loves the platform style. It fits her well, very comfortable. She wears them 4 out of 5 school days and has it for a month now. Unfortunately, today when she returned home, one foot is not holding up. Very disappointed that she has 8 more month in the school year and it’s already fall apart. Now I have to resort to getting them reenforced because these things are readily available to us in another country.UPDATE: I got the sole sewn but look at the bottom of the shoe now. Sad. If I could take away a star, I would.
I have been on a journey trying to find a pair of platform mary janes or loafers. I like the look but also thought they'd be the perfect shoe to have for inclement weather when it's not boot season. After a checkered search I discovered these shoes and they are exactly what I wanted.The wine color is a nice deep red in person that goes well with the black platform. The shoes come well boxed and with little dust bags for each shoe. The lug soles are big enough that I did pick up a piece of branch on one walk but they're very easy to clean. Also holding up well after being worn in the rain and accidentally dousing them with water while I was storing them in the bathtub and forgot before turning on the water.I wear a size 10 shoe and have wide feet so I ordered the 10W and they fit perfectly. I wound up tightening the strap to a smaller hole to get a more secure fit and they are still quite comfortable. I'm not sure how long the strap elastic will last but if it starts to go it's an easy repair. I can slip the shoes on and off with a little finagling but, again, that might not be the best choice for longevity of the strap. I have been wearing them with tights with moderate success but did find that after a day of wear the pressure points on my feet felt tender. I have found that they are more comfortable with a thin sock over the tights for this issue so would keep that in mind for fit. I prefer flat shoes without a lot of support inside (striving for barefoot life) and these shoes are that which is fine for me except for the previously mentioned issue. As an experiment I tried to wear them with what was called a full support insole and found that the insole didn't really fit inside the shoe because the uppers are relatively short/low cut.I get compliments on these shoes every time I wear them and plan on getting another color soon.
Not very flattering, but a good solid shoe
Prettiest little Mary Janes ever for Goth or Schoolgirl outfits! --thank you for the larger sizes for bigger Girls...these are just precious with the smaller dainty buckles...well made & will be perfect for dressier occasions! Journee's are a super product!
Very comfortable and affordable
Not sure what to make of these. They are too big, but not in a way that getting a smaller size would fix. I bought a 9.5 and the length is ok, but they are wide--just too wide from the toe, to sides to heel. If they didn't have the mary jane strap I couldn't wear them--they wouldn't stay on. Note, I don't have a narrow foot, it's more on the wider side of medium if anything. If I got the 9, it would be too short. That said, they are cute and seem to be comfortable--provided they don't stretch or cause blisters from rubbing where loose.
