Great boot albeit a little more than I had wanted to spend but worth the money.
1 Year UpdateJust had a blizzard come through Denver this week, dumping 2+ feet of snow with 4 foot drifts. Put on the boots to go shovel the drive way now that the sun is out and boots kept my feet dry and warm. Snow was slushy and wet and lots of ankle deep puddles in spots. Boots never leaked. Trudged through the snow to my daughter's house down the street during the peak of the storm, boots held up great. So, very happy with the purchase and will be ordering a 2nd pair for my wife.UPDATE:So, I have had these boots for several weeks now and had another snowstorm blow in so I've had more chance to test them further. These boots are working out great. Went to the mountains the other day to take my granddaughter skiing (she's 4). It was snowing on/off throughout the day and was 8 degrees outside. I was wearing the boots and carrying my granddaughter up the hill and then helping her keep her balance as she skied back down (over and over) and my feet never got cold at all. I have spent time shoveling my driveway and trudging through a foot of snow and again, never got cold feet. Boots are easy to put on and take off and fit is pretty good. I do wear an 8.5 and the size 8 fit pretty well even with thick socks. Very pleased with purchase. Only critique I might have is that where there was ice on my driveway, they would slip but I would expect that of any footwear without hard spikes in them.Original review below -While I only got these yesterday, I haven't had a chance to really put them through their paces. However, we got about 18" of snow the day before so I still have really deep snow in my front and back yard as well as piled on my driveway. I put them on last night and walked around in the deep snow for about 20 mins and my feet stayed warm and dry. Outside temp at the time was 13 degrees F. Then today, I went and shoveled my driveway for about 1.5 hours, it was overcast with sun starting to poke through and temps was in the low to mid 30s. Again, feet stayed warm and drive. I did have some ice build up on my driveway and it was slippery and the boots did not help much with that but I wouldn't expect it to either. As for fit, for the most part it is pretty good. I wear and mens 8.5 (US) and ordered the size 8 and they fit good. There is room in the toe and the boots fit well throughout. However, it is a bit snug around the forefoot. Also, the pull string to snug up works great but when you snug them up, you have to tuck the laces so as to not trip on them. The inner liner works well to keep you warm even though they are not fuzzy/fur lined like other boots. I do feel like the boot could use a little more padding on the foot as it does feel a little hard. I will be adding an insert to help add cushion. Overall, I like these boots and would order again based upon what I am seeing now. However, we will see how they hold up as winter is only just starting. I will update if my opinion changes (for better or worse). In the meantime, thumbs up for sure.

Update Feb 25 2017. Not waterproof. I wouldn't trust the sizing reviews saying there too Big
This 2017 ice season is very mild with way too much water on top of the ice. I put these to the test today in terms of waterproof capabilities. I'm here I'm NH and it's been way too mild. I was in 3-4 inches of standing water. Thankfully I had wool socks because there not water proof the water slowly infiltrated into the boots. I was not happy. There good for regular conditions but if you have water above the rubber don't bother with these unfortunately they won't cut it. I bought these exclusively for ice fishing. I'm normally a size 10.5 shoe sneaker etc... When I buy heavy winter boots as these I always get a size 11. I was wearing a bear sorrel size 11 prior to these kamiks and they fit good. Not tight but snug. Not so loose that my feet fall out. I read reviews for these kamiks and went with a size 10. I say they fit equal to a size 11 sorrel so perhaps they are sized slightly bigger than stated but it's negligible. I could have gotten away with a size 11 in the kamiks but the 10 is fine. They are not tight not loose but snug with a little wiggle room in toes and heel. Alot of people said the toe box is huge. I disagree there's some room but it's not outrageous. They fit firmly over the tops of the toes and the heels fit loose not tight at all. I tried 3 different types of socks to get an accurate idea of how they will fit depending on what socks I choose to wear on a given day. 1st I tried a very thin pair of smart wool socks the boots fit well with wiggle room but I would not say I was swimming in them. Next I tried my 2 layer sock system consisting of a very thin liner sock with an outer thick heavy lorpen wool sock. I found them to be almost too snug but still think I had enough wiggle room in the toes to prevent circulation issues causing cold feet. Last I tried on a standard thickness smartwool type sock and IMO they fit best with these. Enough room that I'm confident they will be warm. The summarize. The toe area especially at top of foot is slightly snug but not uncomfortable the heels have plenty of room. These will be used on milder winter days for ice fishing but if the temperature drops into the teens or lower I will not use these boots as I don't think they will be warm enough. My feet tend to get cold easy. I know these are rated to minus 40 but don't bank on it. For sedintary sports standing on ice in very cold temps I'm not sure they will be warm enough but that's only my opinion. Lastly I removed the liner too see what is underneath it's basically the rubber that's at the bottom of the boot. Not sure if the boot has an inner layer or frost plug that I cannot see. I didn't like that so I added a 1/4 inch thick felt insole underneath the zylex liner. It was too snug inside the liner. They fit perfectly and seem comfortable. I'll add a follow up review once I use them for my described application. Made in the USA, label attached too boot but the sole says Canada. Still better than China.

Kamik Men's Canuck Boots
Bought these for my husband. He absolutely loves them and can't believe how warm his feet stay when he's outside blowing snow off the driveway and walkway. They're not made for running, for sure. They are kinda clunky and heavy. But they are the *perfect* boot for keeping your feet very, very warm. I have a pair of my own that I love. And now my son (11) has used mine to go sledding in and playing around, building snowmen, etc. He wants some. They are so great. I've tried lots of boots that don't compare AT ALL. They were the right price. The construction of this boot is amazing. You can tell that KAMIK puts a *lot* of effort into creating a quality product. We will all probably buy Kamiks again at some point. We are very impressed. Not knowing our sizes, we had 5 pairs of these things in our kitchen at one point, and they were all solid in construction. The seller was great to work with as was Amazon. THANKS!! One thing - my women's fit too snug on my fat little foot, so I had to go up to a size 10 from my normal 8. My husband typically wears a 13, and he was able to keep his 13. His feet are way fatter than mine. Go figure. I think maybe when you get up into the really big sizes, the rubber boot is just wider maybe. My toes don't go near the end of mine, but they are wide enough. My husbands fit just about right. Warning - they are clunky, large, heavy boots, once again. Personally, they're perfect. If they weren't, they probably wouldn't keep your feet warm enough.
