I’ve worn cowboy boots for about fifty years, and I know the ritual: sit down, grunt, maybe grab a boot jack, and pray the right one doesn’t fight me. These Justin Zeke 11" blacks in size 10 (I’m a 9½ in shoes; 10 for boots) slid on like they way boots are supposed to in cowboy movies. Left boot went straight on, no drama. Nice pop at the end when my heel finds its home. The right one gave me a argument at the heel. I could've grabbed a boot horn, but I wanted to learn the resistance. It's the stretch across the top of my foot - common. It'll relax quickly with wear.There's a few primary players out there, and I own a few from each. Barn boots; others for gardening, field, or yard work - no animal areas; daily putzing around; and Sunday-go-to- meeting one. This pair is so comfortable I'm going to wear them everywhere but around the animals.They’re noticeably lighter than pair I took off to try these one. I felt it just holding one, but a lot more the minute I stand up. The leather is soft but thick, with that classic Justin buttery hand, and the black with subtle stitching looks dressy enough for church yet tough enough for the feed store. Great style. And the smell is one of my favorite parts - leather.The square toe gives me plenty of forefoot room, and the 11" shaft stays off my calf - no pinching or rubbing.I wore them around the house and and yards this morning. great everyday boots
My teenage son needed a new pair of boots, so I ordered these Justins for him. He really likes this square-toe style, and the grippy rubber soles make them a functional everyday boot for casual wear. All the teen boys around here (small city in Central Texas) seem to prefer this square-toe, shorter style of boot, as they work well with jeans and can also stand in as dress shoes when needed.These smell like yummy leather and feel really nice to the touch. I didn't realize the stitching was sort of a turquoise blue and white (thought it was all white for some reason, but the blue looks great). The quality is fantastic, as I expected they would be from this legendary western boot brand.My kid normally wears a men's 9 or 9.5, depending on the type of shoe and brand, and the 10 in these fit him well with a little room to grow. He says they are comfortable, and he's been wearing them quite a bit the last few weeks. He's a high schooler and is picky about clothes and shoes, so I know these must be spot-on for style and comfort. The boots arrived and I Immediately smiled to myself. These are handsome boots. I have other Justin boots, but they are older with that work boot look, because they are my work boots now. These will stay nice and clean and only worn when I am going to be sociable, not hard playing and certainly not work.These fit true to size and were just plain comfortable for the time I put them on. The real leather and stitching are what I have come to expect from a Justin boot and at a reasonable price.
