Warm and waterproof, meh sole comfort
I was looking for a boot to replace my old, awesomely durable boots I had for 15 years. These looked comparable and rugged enough to keep my feet warm and dry in the WI winter. I bought the 10 wide, they were on sale vs the size 10, so I do have to wear thicker socks, but that is a me problem. I think the sizing is accurate. The boots provide nice ankle support and the padding and insulation to the ankle and the top of the feet is phenomenal. I have to agree with many reviewers, the soles are scantily padded, leading to a drastic comfort disconnect from the top of your foot to the bottom of the foot. However, I believe the sole cushion is made from some sort of insulation material as my feet stayed nice and warm. The laces are quality, however, as with any boot, I have to double knot them to have them stay in place. I appreciated the height of the waterproof soles which kept my feet dry after accidentally stepping into some soggy terrain and inches of snow. I did notice that they are not as anti-slip on ice as my old boots and I had to adjust my walking pattern. I am not sure I would purchase the boots again. 3.5 stars.

Warm, waterproof boots in a wide width
I needed to find a wide boot to keep my boyfriend's feet warm and dry. He is wearing them in an environment that involves packing produce, so the work area is always at a temperature of 36 degrees, and the floor is often wet. A traditional steel-toed work boot would have been too heavy for him to wear all day. He loves these boots! He normally wears an 8 wide shoe, so I ordered a 9 wide after reading other's comments. I paired them with some extra thick wool socks, and he has told me his feet are comfortable, warm, dry...and the boot is not tight on his foot. They also arrived quickly (which was extremely important.) For reference, the top of the boot comes up to his lower calf, but I couldn't tell the height of the boot shaft by the photos and there is no dimension noted in the specs for the product. I ordered socks that were over the calf in length, but I could have ordered a length that was a bit shorter. All in all, a great boot!

Good quality materials, buy 2 sizes up and WIDE
First tried a nation plus Kamik at size 11 2 years ago that was way to tight on my foot. I wear Chippewa bolville bootss size 11 and they fit perfect. So this year I bought size 12w Fargo Kamiks and they were to tight as well so I just got the size 14 WIDE Fargo Kamiks and they fit pretty nice. I could wear 2 pair boot socks and it would be slightly tight. I put in wool felt insoles and 1 pair of socks and that works very well. These fargo boots just come to small, my advice is buy 2 sizes up and get WIDE.
