Want waterproof and warm? Buy these!

These boots are fantastic! I've had them for six years, and they've never failed me. They tackle snow, slush, standing water, and heavy muck, always keeping my feet perfectly warm and dry. Really easy to clean. I got exactly what I paid for!

Made in Canada! They know snow up north...

I was a little afraid these would be hard to put on and take off, but in a size 10 (true to my size 10 feet) they are a little 'sloppy', in the best way, meaning I can slide in and out without even touching the boot with my hands, they stay on and the heel is snug enough to make them feel fine, with a slightly sloppy toe box.I imagine I could easily use 1-2 pairs of thick winter socks if necessary and they would still fit fine, in my short jaunts outside in the snow walking my dogs there was no need for heavier socks, they were plenty warm.I am quite happy with these, not too heavy, warm, easy to get on and off, very high and you can snug the top to keep snow out. I would not buy a size larger than your shoe size with these, though some reviewers disagree -- perhaps if you only intend to wear thick socks, but not for the average Joe.

Waterproof insuated boots

If you need insulated boots that are waterproof, as in standing in a foot of water and your feet stay dry waterproof, these are a good pick. They are basically a rubber boot with an insulated liner inside, and a drawstring closure on top to keep snow and debris out. These are not extreme cold weather boots, but work good as cold weather chore boots, for as long as I'm moving around some, my feet are OK down to zero degrees F or a bit below. They are slip on boots, the drawstring does not tighten the boot itself, but just the top fabric around your leg. Comfort is average to a bit above average, the liner adds some padding. The liners are removable as well. Totally waterproof until you go deep enough that water runs over the top. Durability is good, they last me a bit over a year of cold weather chores. These are a good choice for general chores, ice fishing, etc, but wouldn't be my first choice for all day walking. For that, I would recommend the Kamik Huntsman, which at the end of the day, are as good to my feet as a hiking shoe.Fit is about what you'd expect, a hair loose with thin socks, just right with medium to medium heavy socks, and a bit snug with super thick socks. Mine are marked made in Canada, my Huntsmans are marked made in USA.Pluses:Warm, durable, easy on/off, truly waterproof, reasonably priced for what you get, North American made.Minuses:A bit stiff/heavy compared to some, the boot is just a slip on, so it does not snug up as tight as one with laces/buckles.

Good Boot

Very warm, true to size. I've had a pair for years and they are holding up well. Just got another pair for my wife in black. She loves them for walking the dogs in the snow and slush. It's been below zero lately and with a good pair of wool socks, you are good to go.

One star for every year of abuse my first pair survived

My first pair lasted five winters of daily wear before the heel seam finally split in year six. I probably could have gotten another year or two out of them if I was more gentle putting them on and taking them off.As you can see from my photos, I replaced them just in time. We got hit with 8" shortly after my new pair arrived.* They're durable, warm, and comfortable once broken in.* I normally wear a 10.5 or 11 wide, and the size 11 fits well even with thick winter socks.* They were a little tight in width at first, but they loosen up after a couple of weeks of wear.* The tread is decent and they get pretty good traction in snow and mud.* Made in Canada. Obviously made in USA is my first choice, but Canada is a fine runner up. Besides, I figure they probably know a thing or two about snow boots.Make sure to check the different variations if you're looking for a deal. The price can vary by $20+ between different styles/colors.TL;DR: High quality, good value winter snow boots. My first pair lasted five years and I liked them enough to order a second pair.

Fit properly, very warm, comfortable, and built rugged.

I'm a men's size 11 for comfortable shoe fit, and the 11 fits very nice with ordinary socks; a bit snug but still tolerable with my heavier Dickies work socks. You don't need thick socks with these, they are quite warm without them. The boot is ruggedly built, I have no fears of them getting easily cut or damaged. The soles grip well, have heavy lugs for sloppy or slick terrain, and the boots feel stable and secure even on bumpy terrain. They feel a bit clunkier than my military style work boots, but not by much, and I stopped noticing the difference after wearing these a few times. I've seen "Muck Boots" starting at $100 a pair that look much flimsier. With the heavy, removable, washable felt liner; beefy construction, heavy lugged soles, and even a cloth and drawstring collar to keep out snow when it's over knee deep? These are the real deal. Consider these before you shell out $100+ for a fancy name brand "Muck Boot".
