Cold weather snow boot, great price, high quality.
Got these for my son (12 y.o.), who went from kid sizes to adult. He had Kamiks before, so I was looking for the same, or Sorels, Columbia, etc. Now that he's in adult sizes, the prices were a shocker, but the Kamiks had the lowest prices by far. We live in Colorado, so during the Winter, you'll pretty much wear these due to cold, snow, and slushy parking lots when the sun comes out. He loves them, and I kinda wish I needed a new pair of boots, because these look like the old Sorel Caribous. They seem comfortable, no complaints while walking up hills while sledding, and I'm sure they'll be warm enough for the parking lots at the ski areas. I like the fact that they're made in Canada, and the quality is very good. You won't be disappointed making this purchase. His prior Kamiks only had a little wear on the soles, but the nylon and vinyl uppers were in perfect condition. Sorels (now owned by Columbia?), seem to be getting too fashionable, and you'll see a lot of them at the expensive resorts. Their prices also reflect this. Good boots for families who will hand them down from kid to kid.

Not yet field tested - but they look & feel good!
If these actually keep my feet warm ice fishing, I'll upgrade to 5 starts. They are up against the white military bunny boots, which are 100% awesome for keeping feet warm all day on a frozen lake, but are not awesome for walking and running is impossible since they literally weigh almost 5 pounds each. These boots are light weight and appear very well made, the removable liner is super think and cushiony. I sprayed them with Neverwet, added a thermal felt insole (it came with a very thin one which I replaced), and put them away in my basement until next winter. I buy Kamik winter boots for my kids as they are reliably waterproof and warm at a very reasonable price, best value out there. So hopefully I'll like the grown up boot just as much.

Nice boot
Fits well, not as ridiculously warm as I was somewhat expecting. Being rated to -58F, I expected it to be too warm in the 0-32F range, but even at those temperatures, with mid thickness wool sock, but even at those temps, while not moving, my foot was getting cold.Still a great boot for its waterproofness and warmth. It fits a little wider than expected, I would usually get a 10.5 wide, but have gotten used to wearing an 11 of medium width where I can't find the wide sizes. This shoe is at the edge of being too wide. If I was to wear two layers of socks, might be about right. As is, I wouldn't wear this hiking, but for commuting in the snow, it's great.

The boots are great, however I didn't expect them to be THAT bulky. They are fine for living in the snow country side, but that is too much for occasional walk. Was going to use them for the holidays at Tahoe, but decided to return and to find something more urban and compact.

Excellent Boots, made in India
I work as a snowboard instructor and live & play outdoors. These boots are up to the task. They're reasonably warm and waterproof in about 2" of water. The sizes run small, and with a winter boot you want to oversize a bit anyway. I probably wouldn't recommend these as a work boot, but for moving around camp, after a day on slopes or just a winter's walk through the ski town, you'll be well served. My gripe is that they are made in India, but are still far superior to the Sorel's made in China. If you want a better product and don't mind spending twice as much, the Kamik Pearson's are made in Canada. I will be purchasing those next time!

Fantastic winter boots!
These boots are warm, comfortable and water tight. Traction on snow and ice is very good. The leather uppers are strong, durable and rugged. The rubbers have a very good thick sole. On warmer days, I do not even bother with socks. At first I was concerned that the lacing system was not enough to hold the foot in tight for extended walking. However after some difficult snowshoeing and several long hikes, the Kamik Alborg boots have exceeded my expectation. When compared to the current Sorel's on the market today, I believe these are definitely better. For the price you cannot go wrong. I expected these will last me many years. In addition they look good. Well done Kamik!

Not my kamiks
I have purchased kamik boots in the past and loved them. Not this model/style. Kamiks do run small, but these were really small and felt cheaply made. Didn't have the same fit and feel that I'm used to from kamiks "Nationplus" line. Spend the extra $20 and get the Nationplus, they're warm, comfortable, and durable.
