Kamik Women's Canuck Boot - *AWESOME* !!!!!!! Can't say enough about them. But watch the size. Read below.

I bought these boots based on numerous reviews I had read online of these and many, many other boots. I had had Sorels for 20+ years (I can still wear them - they're amazing!), but they've gotten bad reviews lately because apparently the craftsmanship has gone way downhill. These Kamiks, however, get fantastic reviews all over the place. These seemed to be the closest to my old Sorels, which I was trying to replace. They do the job nicely. The price is right! Especially if you plan on owning them for a couple of decades. They are the warmest damned things ever. Honestly, I have very cold feet and legs, especially after some nerve damage from back surgery, and these things are miracle workers. You can walk around in deep snow for hours and feel absolutely fine. I know they're big and clunky. I don't care. I wanted warmth. If I wanted cute, I'd have gotten something else. These boots kick butt! I got a pair for my husband, and he can't believe how warm they are. My son (11) has worn mine now and wants some of his own. My daughter wants some, too. The construction seems solid. I can't say enough about them. The only thing I would watch out for is the size. I will warn you - I have pretty chunky feet. I usually wear a size 8, but I had to go up to a size 10 for these things to fit because the main rubber part of the boot on the bottom is very stiff, so there's absolutely no give. My toes are nowhere near the front, but I couldn't wear an 8 or 9 because my foot would be in way too much feet. I'm not going to run any races in these anyway because they are big and clunky, but with them two sizes larger than my normal, I definitely won't be running in them. Great for trudging around in deep, cold snow, though. The sellers and Amazon were amazing, btw. I tried an 8 and a 9, and I had to return them both because of size. I'm keeping the 10s, though, probably forever. THANK YOU!!! KAMIK ROCKS!!!! I will be buying more Kamiks in the future, btw. Between my husband's and mine, we had 5 pairs sitting in our kitchen at one point, and they were *all* perfectly crafted.

Very good looking well made boot with warm insert

I always buy boots in size 10 womens and shoes in 9 1/2. I got these in 10 and they fit perfect with thick socks. Without thick socks they run just a little bit big. Like half a size. Tag says built in the USA, -40F -40C, waterproof. It has boiled compressed wool-like almost half of an inch insert that goes around the boot and under your foot! it is like wool boot within rubber boot. Overall I'm very impressed with quality and the look. Everything looks perfect-all the stitches etc. They look very cool, minimalistic and expensive👍PS they permorm great in a snow. Def waterproof. Very warm! Quality product, highly recommend

Great boots - perform well

I wear between a 9-10 in women's boots. I bought a 10 because I have wide calves (note boot height) and wide feet hoping that after numerous sock layers I would find comfort and warmth. I had to cut the internal lining down about 2 or so inches because the thick lining made them quite tight. After cutting the lining they fit my calves perfect. Next came putting on a compression sock liner and a thick winter wool sock. The boot liner kept scrunch ing in a wierd way but after wearing them around the house for a bit it formed to my feet. I really appreciated the sinch lacing that is only at the bottom/ankle of the boot as it kept the boots tight and left the upper looser for comfort. Next came the real test. I attended a boyscout campout with my family and my son who is a scout in an area where the terrain is rough and the Temps ranged from 34°F to well below 25°F. The snow in some areas was nearly waist deep. I fell in the snow a few times and walked around, stood all day in these Temps while it was snowing heavily. Never had to change my socks, socks never got wet. A couple times just standing around my feet got a slight chill but nothing I couldn't handle. All in all I am fairly impressed with the performance of these boots. I may try a size down as they do run large I feel. Great product so far. I'm happy with my purchase.

Get em!

Ok these boots are super cool and comfortable!! They are huge tho!!! Haha I normally wear a six and bc of the extra padding they have they make it seem like I'm wearing size 9! Haha and I still have plenty of room in there so doubling up on socks works ok and thermal socks definitely fit! But these babies don't let your feet get cold! Probably the sturdiest best snow boots I've ever owned! Will definitely recommend and purchase in the future!

Kamik needs half sizes for adults

**UPDATE** i have decided that it is unbearable that I couldn't get a size 6.5. The 7 doesn't fit right. My feet move around and get blisters.. or they come off in the deep snow. I nearly always wear a 6 or 6.5.. the 6 is too small and the 7 is monstrous. I feel like a kid wearing my dad's shoes. You need very good boot socks for these to avoid chafing along your legs. They are extremely warm and keep my feed dry though you need to change out of them as soon as you are inside anywhere or your feet get too hot. I expect they would last a long time but unfortunately i really need the half size down so i will have to shop other brands
