They’re very comfortable shoes!I did end up returning them because I didn’t like the look, but that’s just personal preference….I prefer high top shoes, but these shoes are very comfortable and they do give that “no shoe” feel. Which is great for working out. The tread was amazing too. They had some great grip to them. It felt like wearing grippy socks. A very lightweight feel.If they were a little bit longer I would’ve kept them, but again, that’s just personal preference.
These claim to “reduce impact” without saying of “what?” Having dropped a 15 pound dumbbell on my feet before, this supplier might want to remove that statement. Only shoes constructed of riveted sheet iron are likely to seriously reduce the impact of things that might hit your foot while lifting.Otherwise, the shoes are pretty nice. I got them for my daughter, who is just getting into free weights. She is not a dedicated weightlifter like I was for years, and I’ve cautioned her not to be. She says these are “okay.”I worked the shoes over by hand, checking them out as best I could without being able to wear them and I was not impressed. I don’t see any reason to expect them to be considered a good substitute for the top or even mid-line lifting shoes. The construction just isn’t there. Lifting shoes that really do the only decent job of anything short of my sheet iron shoes protecting feet can cost well north of three times the cost of these.I see several mentions of “zero drop shoes.” Seriously? It happens. You don’t plan it or expect it ever. You can’t wear “zero drop shoes” every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and tougher ones on other days. Believe me, I know. So do not get these because you are going to lift weights but are planning to stick to zero drops. Get them for comfort and balance and maybe some grip.Do I consider them a good option if the best shoes are unaffordable. My daughter says probably. They seem to give her a bit better fit; they grip pretty well and she feels that her ankles are supported better than in plain tennis shoes. So, yeah, probably a good idea to consider these with that in mind. You get what you pay for, and I can only recommend these if you cannot or will not purchase the real deals. I still give them 3 stars because at least they are better than moccasins. I don’t see these shoes insuring the type of grip and balance that a shoe needs to actually help avoid gym accidents, but they do give someone at least some comfort and improved footing.
Shoes are durable and very comfortable. Fits like a sock.
Comfort
I have been using these for weightlifting and they feel great! Perfect shoes for squatting and deadlifting!
