Top quality, great price and very warm & comfortable
These boots are very well made and hold up well. I have bought the brown shirt a year ago and the light gray ones this week. Both pairs looked a little scuffed when I received them, but a little Huberds shoe grease makes them look great (although a little darker). They are comfortable down to at least 10 degrees F ( F is easier to spell than faren-something) but I haven't written them in colder than that. They are very comfortable once you get them pulled on. If 11.5 Targhee boots fit you, 11.5 in these will be perfect. The are very good repeling water as long as it doesn't get high enough to go through the stretchy side panels. The texture of the tread is great for not slipping, not so good for tracking mud on to your wife's clean floors. But on the plus side, when you are hiding out in your shop you have more time to write Amazon reviews.TLDR: buy these boots and a can of Huberds shoe grease... and maybe one of those shoe cleaner things with the brushes on them.
This is a quality shoe that also looks good. If you get the right fit, you’ll be happy. Unfortunately they didn’t fit me. I felt that one shoe was tighter than the other so I am sending them back. The leather was soft and supple and the sole was comfortable and well constructed. They are also surprisingly lightweight.Anyway, they’re nice, just not for me.
Updated Review:After owning these boots for 3 years and going through 3 pairs, I wanted to update my review. I still love my original pair of boots purchased 3 years ago; however, the quality has been inconsistent with the two newest pairs. The first pair is still holding up after 3 years. Despite being worn and worked hard, they are standing the test of time, so my wife gifted me two new pairs—one black and one brown.Unfortunately, the two newer pairs have not held up as well. Both have the treads separating from the sole. The black ones are peeling on the side of the boot, while the brown ones have the black treads peeling at the toes. I haven't even worn these boots out in the woods or put them through any hard work. I was keeping these two clean and used them just for wet and snowy days to and from the office. So, I have been quite disappointed with the two newest pairs. They are comfortable boots, and I've bragged about them to my friends and coworkers. However, I'm lowering my review from 5 to 4 stars as it appears their quality has decreased over the years. The original boots are 100% a 5-star solid purchase. The 2nd and 3rd pairs, I should honestly be angry with the lack of craftsmanship. I do still wear them and have ordered some glue to see if I can make any repairs. The brown boots are ones I'm not sure I will be able to fix.Original Review:Doesn’t rub ankles raw like some slip ones. Boot size for was true. I typically get a 10.5 boot and anywhere from a 10-11 in tennis shoes. I ordered 10.5 boot and fits snug with heat holders socks and comfortably with regular long socks. Easy to slip on yet stay snug to foot and don’t flop around you ankle as you walk. Material seems nice and well made for price. This is an excellent mid range boot.
Awesome shoes, a little narrower than normal keen shoes great fit overall
These immediately starting falling apart, which my husband found shocking. We both had previously good experiences with this Brand's quality. He did try repairing them, and yet nothing would keep the soles adhered. We have a friend with these same boots and he had the same issue.
These are just what I was looking for. You pay for what you get and even though these are a little more than I normally pay, they are well worth it. They keep my feet warm as long as I’m wearing a midweight sock. If I wear heavier my feet sweat and lighter my feet get a chill. I wear them about 10+ hours a day and changed out the insole after a couple weeks as the original seemed flat already. The grip I’ve had on the snow and ice has been great with minimal slipping. I love that I can pull them on and go and that they’re waterproof also. I wear a size 10.5 and they are true to size.
