Love these shoes for hunting. Three day hunt and my feet never hurt. Light and well made.
I was looking for a durable leather hiking/rucking sneaker. The wide width was surprisingly comfortable. The sole was supportive and not too thick. The materials feel comfortable and durable. I picked these over new Merrells hiking sneakers.
Love these boots, the wide fits me perfectly...
These shoes are comfortable out of the box. The toe box isn't as wide as other Keen boots I own, but it's still wide enough for me. Grippy tread. Plenty of heel cushion, though the rest of the sole might not protect from bigger stones on a trail. It's fine for the types of trails I hike. Ankle support is good, no heal slippage like some have reported. Padding on the tongue of one shoe rubbed my ankle. I loosened the laces in hopes it will flex and soften. So far, so good. I ordered a 1/2 size up because I've found the KeenDry lining takes up a little room, especially the Keen NXIS EVO mid boots. These fit perfectly in length. Got them on sale, good value. Quality boots that look nice in town or on the trail. Happy with my purchase.
Without breaking in, I used them on a two week trip with hikes in Yosemite, Mt Whitney, Zion Angels Landing, Bryce Canyon and Arches. Very light and comfortable and still felt secure with strong grip. Cleans easily.
The shoe is ok in general, but the quality control is not good. After less than 2 months and estimated 100 miles of walking the sole has developed a big ridge which hurts my foot. I pulled the insole to investigate but nope the problem is the cushioning of the shoe. Since Keen won’t warranty this clearly defective product per customer support, and other reason is that I bought this on Amazon. They officially get my first ever One Star review. If possible I would’ve given it Zero Stars, for a crappy shoe. This is my second defective Keen shoe in my last two purchases. I miss the old Keen warranty. Anybody got suggestions for hiking boot brands to try out?
They are so light and comfortable. So far, it's the best walking shoe I've ever had.
