LOOK NO MORE

I LOVE THESE SHOES! I have always loved hiking since I was a little kid and never stopped. I just always used what ever old sneakers I had around the house to hike in. But as I’ve gotten older and had kids my back and hips need more support. I’m not as young as I once was and I feel the effects of poor quality shoes on trails the next day. I never bought a pair of good quality hiking shoes before because I never had an issue or felt any pain from hiking in my shoes before. But now I do. So I started doing some digging to find the best! because I go on so pretty rugged trails and my shoes really get pushed to the limits; the park usually sneakers are falling apart after a really good hike. And so I thought if I’m going to spend a large amount of money on hiking shoes I want them to 1. Last(get my money’s worth at least) 2. Have good support. 3. Be comfortable ( good support and comfort don’t always go hand in hand ) 4. Have good traction and everything I read led me to keen! I spent months literally because it’s hard for me to spend money on myself especially on shoes and of this price I’m a cheap skate when it comes to my self for my family and my friends I don’t think twice about price if I know they want it. Any ways I looked at so many brands read reviews for months pondered watched YouTube reviews on so many brands everything still just led me to keen. If your debating like me STOP! These really are AMAZING SHOES! I am so impressed and beyond happy with them! I know these will last so many hikes I’ll get my monies worth and then some they have the most amazing traction, support and comfort! Just really blown away really wish I had started investing in good hiking shoes when I was younger. P.S I recommend looking at the sizing chart and measuring your foot to make sure you get the correct size as I did if you have never had keens . It is in CM NOT INCHES so keep that in mind. Because I have found that I wear a different size shoe depending on the brand. So just to make sure.

Great hiking shoes (great during wet conditions)

I’m very happy with these hiking shoes. I have no problem with the fit. I think I read someone commenting about them being too narrow. I can maybe see what they are talking about but not that much of an issue for me. It probably depends on the shape of your foot.I’ve always had cheap hiking shoes and sneakers that would get wet during a storm. Thankfully, I haven’t had any problems with wet feet/socks with these shoes. So the extra money was worth it. I’ve stepped in many deep puddles with ease (though the splashing may have gotten my pants wet). They are hiking shoes. So, they are a little more solid and I can’t use them for jogging, but great for walking. I use them in all conditions: forested trails, dirt/sand trails, and even sidewalks. Due to the extra support I walk a little slower on a sidewalk as compared to a sneaker, but that’s to be expected. I haven’t tested them out for longer than a couple hours at a time. So, I don’t know how they would feel if you were in them the entire day. I’ve had them for about 8 months now.

Too small

I own two pairs of these shoes (the vent version) in size 9 and both of them are very big on my feet to the point that I need to wear thick socks to make it work. So I felt pretty confident that the waterproof version in the same size would fit even though the waterproof membrane takes up some space inside the shoe. But these shoes had a weird bump/protuberation on the inside that made them smaller and very uncomfortable. I only tried on one shoe and knew right away that they are going back. Fortunately I have my two other pairs - I just thought it would be nice to own a waterproof version as well. I also own the waterproof boot version of these, and they also fit fine in size 9 with room to spare. So no idea what's going one with these and if I maybe just got a "bad pair" or something. Will not bother to order a larger size.

Perfect fit

Kept my feet warm and the waterproof worked for tromping in the swampy grass at lake. Very good looking boot. Did not slip was very sure footed on the rocks also.

Made my feet happy from day 1

I have worn a different model of Keen boots for 12 or 15 years (3 pairs, I think). When I needed to replace the last pair, that model was not available and I called Keen to ask which they though I would like best. The Steen's was what they recommended and they felt great from literally day 1. As soon as I put them on my feet went "aaaaahhhhhhhh". I wore them the next day for a 3-mile hike and they felt really good - no break-in period required. That said, if I was backpacking and/or doing a lot of hiking on trails with lots of jagged rocks, I might go for something with a heavier sole. But for my purposes, these hikers are perfect. Highly recommend.
